Zheng Banqiao
He claimed that he painted more bamboos than paper windows and painted walls to see the sun and moon shadows. He once wrote: "My bamboo is pure and elegant. The calligraphy has lines, and the bamboo has lines. The calligraphy has shades, and the bamboo has shades. The calligraphy has density, and the bamboo has density." He is good at it. When writing about bamboo, he even inscribed it between bamboo and stone, expressing his aloof sentiment with the bamboo's "somewhere between, strong and knotty" character.
