Fu Chunshu, a native of Linyi, Shandong Province, comes from a calligraphy family and has received a good traditional cultural education. He was fond of painting as a child and never stopped painting. Later he transferred to Yiduo Normal University and studied at the Academy of Fine Arts of Tsinghua University, a national advanced graduate class for art theory and creation. Now living in Beijing, he specializes in calligraphy and flower-and-bird painting. Traditional Chinese painting works can be traced back to the purity and ease of traditional literati in the Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties. He uses solid calligraphy lines in his paintings and is a practitioner of contemporary new literati paintings. The calligraphy method directly follows the two kings, the style of Wei and Jin Dynasties, the atmosphere of ancient times, the style is elegant and often comes up with new ideas.
Currently, he is a teaching assistant in the Advanced Research Class of Chinese Traditional Flower and Bird Painting at Renmin University of China, a national first-class artist, a director of the China Art Association, a director of the Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Association, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Painting and Calligraphy of the Ministry of Culture, and an associate director of the Academy of Famous Calligraphy and Painting. Chairman, executive vice president of Mengshan Painting Academy, executive director of Shandong Province of Chinese Contemporary Artists Association, member of Huo Chunyang Traditional Calligraphy and Painting Research Association, and member of China Contemporary Thematic Flower-and-Bird Painting Creation Research Association.

Calligraphy was taught by tutor Xiao Wenfei of the China Academy of Art, Professor Liu Yanhu of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, and Mr. Liu Hongbiao and Zhang Yuxiang. The eyes and ears are affected, and the calligraphy and painting continue to progress. The works are highly sought after by collectors.
