China Calligraphy Research Association (China Yan Shu for short) is a people's organization composed of calligraphers of all ethnic groups in China and overseas, and an academic organization of calligraphers in China. Carry forward the art of Chinese traditional culture painting and calligraphy, develop the art of Chinese painting and calligraphy, keep pace with the times, and make due contributions to the construction of spiritual civilization in Socialism with Chinese characteristics. Headquartered in Hong Kong, the Association is led by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. The Association attracts people who have made outstanding achievements in calligraphy creation, calligraphy criticism and calligraphy history research as members, and gathers accomplished and influential calligraphy experts and scholars at home and abroad. It is a calligraphy institution integrating all kinds of calligraphy. China Calligraphy Research Association is responsible for organizing and guiding calligraphers at home and abroad to carry out calligraphy creation and theoretical research, undertaking the organization, implementation, selection and award of major calligraphy seal cutting exhibitions, holding large-scale national and overseas calligraphy exhibitions and various academic exhibitions, publishing academic journals and conducting academic discussions, and striving to promote the development and prosperity of Chinese calligraphy research.
