Yaer Dumpling Shop tells the story of Wang Xizhi, a famous calligrapher in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, who learned calligraphy when he was a child. Wang Xizhi started learning calligraphy at the age of seven. Within three years, he was quite famous in hundreds of miles around, and he was in high spirits. Later, he got a revelation that affected his life in a humble duck dumpling shop. Wang Xizhi was so ashamed that he knew that there are people outside the world and there is a heaven outside the world. He studied calligraphy even harder and finally became a calligraphy master. The plaque of Ya'er Dumpling Shop was written with the help of calligrapher Wang Xizhi. It is said that Wang Xizhi practiced calligraphy to the point of obsession, but for a while he was very dissatisfied with his handwriting, but could not find the reason, and was very distressed about it. One day, he was walking around the street and suddenly smelled the aroma of dumplings, which aroused his greed and decided to eat a bowl. When he entered the store, he saw that the lineup was not big and the facilities were simple. A large pot in front of the low wall was filled with water. At this time, the water was boiling, and he saw dumplings flying out from behind the low wall. They were shaped like ducks. The dumplings will fall into the pot. When the pot is full, the dumplings will stop flying out.
So he was curious and walked behind the low wall to take a look at the clues. I saw an old woman behind the wall making dumplings. She rolled out the dumplings with one hand and wrapped the fillings with the other. In a short while, she had a lot of dumplings wrapped. Wang Xizhi was surprised and asked the old woman when she had achieved this skill. The old woman replied that it was 45 years ago. Wang Xizhi felt a lot and felt that his determination to practice calligraphy was not enough, so he went back to practice calligraphy. Before leaving, he wrote a plaque and presented it to the old woman, which has been passed down to this day.
