Wang Tingjun's good poem, "Romantic literary style, reflecting for a moment", is famous for its seven-character poem. Yuan Haowen praised him as a "master of poetry and prose, superior to his contemporaries" in Zhongzhou Collection, and said in Huanghua Tombstone that he was "strict in his poetry in his later years, and his seven-character poems used rhyme skillfully". Most of its contents are leisure-oriented, except for a few chapters that express some frustrations of career twists and turns, and rarely contact with realistic themes. This typically represents the atmosphere that Jin Dynasty poetry circles divorced from reality from Dading to Mingchang. He has nearly 30 poems with the word 10, which was included in Zhongzhou Collection and Zhongzhou Yuefu by Yuan Haowen.
