According to legend, during the Daoguang period of the Qing Dynasty, Shentian, a scholar from Haiyang County, Shandong Province, went to Dingyuan County (now Wusheng County, Sichuan Province) to work. When passing by, he saw that the road he passed was a narrow path born on a cliff. In the past, people climbed the cliff for climbing, but when they got off the cliff, they climbed it carefully. If the road is slippery in rainy days or they don't pay attention to the load, some passers-by will fall to the rocks and die. Che Shentian deeply feels that it is not easy for people here to get in and out. After taking office, he proposed to dig a post road along the rock. On the cliff, there is a huge stone that looks like a kite. People call it the kite stone. The huge consumption of silver in this mountain road construction project is beyond the support of local financial resources. Che Shentian took the lead in donating money and called on local gentry and people to raise money. It took half a year to build this postal road successfully. In order to commemorate the God of Cars who built roads for the people, people called it "Chejiawan" and set up Chejiawan at Kite Stone. It is reported that this postal road is also an integral part of the southern section of Micang Road in Shu Road, and plays a vital role in the traffic from Hanzhong to Chongqing in Shaanxi.
There are clear streams on the cliffs of Chejiawan and pastoral scenery on the rocks. A bend river weir passes through the stream, originates from the tributary of Changtan Temple, passes through Luodou Rock, and reaches Wupai Reservoir. This river weir was built around water in Daoguang period, and it was called "Fufeng Weir". The old fisherman by the weir said that there used to be a four-pillar ancient stone flat bridge above the steep rock in front of the weir, and people used to cross the bridge. In previous years, a flood washed away the stone bridge and the big bluestone, so people crossing the river in dry season had to take the weir or riverbed. In the dry season, the riverbed is bare, the reeds on both sides of the river are swaying, and some of them have dried up, leaving only one line dripping from the riverbed stone beach and falling on the rocks. Although there is a little less tendency for the Milky Way to set for nine days, its tinkling sound is endless. The scenery of the canyon is lush, and from a distance, it is a citrus orchard with many fruits, which are exposed in the dark green citrus leaves.
To say Chejiawan, in addition to the ancient post road, we have to mention countless stone carvings on the cliffs along the canal. Not far from the right side of Cliff Waterfall, there are inscriptions of "Gan Long Bingwu" and "Miao Yan". According to the research on the construction date of Chejiawan, Daoguang was still after the Qianlong period, but this "Miao Yan" was decades earlier than the inscription on Chejiawan, and the details have been impossible to research.
On the cliff deep in the Qingyangyan bamboo forest in Chejiawan, there are three characters of "Qingyangyan" written in Guangxu eight years. On one side is the Buddhist temple under construction, such as the sleeping Buddha in the Guanyin land juxtaposed under the rock, with bright colors. On the right are calligraphy and stone carvings that are "quiet and far-reaching", "reassuring" and "harmonious and auspicious" in the 1990s ... Bamboo forests are covered with stone walls, so they are mixed, and I wonder if the breeze will come.
There are three stone carvings in Yaoziyan, Chejiawan during Daoguang period, some of which have been weathered and some of which were destroyed during the Cultural Revolution. Among them, the "Eye-catching Heart Monument" is engraved with the words "Advise you to be filial to your parents, respect your calligraphy, avoid litigation, and advise you not to stop at the ancient tomb", which should be a warning to the world; The left couplet of another niche is "Turn the peak to the valley *", the right couplet is "Looking at the past", and the horizontal couplet has weathered and fallen into the word "tireless"; The word "Chejiawan" is clear and fluent, and I wonder if future generations will engrave it. Throughout Chejiawan, most people will talk about the ancient car owners, and then mention the long hair of the former hydropower bureau of Wusheng County, saying that he led people to carve stone carvings on the cliffs around Chejiawan, leaving behind those exquisite stone carvings. The great man's sentences such as "serving the people", "working hard and plain living" and "having enough to eat and drink", and Comrade Xiaoping's "seeking truth from facts" are engraved on the cliffs next to the waterfall. More exquisite calligraphy and stone carvings praising the scenery of Chejiawan are also frequently seen on the stone walls along the canal, such as "natural picture scroll", "Shili Qujiang Gallery", "mountain color" and "wonderful creation of nature". The process of exploring along Chejiawan is also a process of understanding and learning calligraphy, with lines, grass, letters, official seals and so on.
In this way, nostalgia, exploring the road, walking through the ancient post road, stroking the stone fence more than 200 years ago, dead leaves and weeds left on the ground with the ups and downs of the years, and the rustling sound under the steps, like singing an elegy for the years.
