I love calligraphy
Calligraphy is the root of five thousand years of Chinese culture. It embodies the essence of Chinese people from generation to generation. Calligraphy is a unique art in China.
In this five thousand years of calligraphy culture, there are as many great calligraphers as stars. Such as Wang Xizhi, Ouyang Xun, etc. Wang Xizhi's study of calligraphy in Linchi eventually dyed the water in the pond black and called it "Mochi". How perseverant this was, and how brilliant the "Lanting Preface", which is known as "the best running script in the world", is.
I deeply fall in love with calligraphy. It is something unique to the Chinese; it is the pride of the Chinese nation; it is the spiritual home of many calligraphy lovers. Although I have only been practicing calligraphy for seven months, I deeply feel its soul. Calligraphy is not only a representative of Chinese culture, but also a treasure. In my life, practicing calligraphy is an essential thing every day. No matter how busy I am with my studies, I will always take some time to feel its charm, because I am deeply attracted by it and can't extricate myself.
Every time I spread out a piece of rice paper on the desk and pressed the corners with the paperweight, I started practicing. Sometimes it was late at night without me realizing it, and I didn’t even feel tired at all; when I won a prize in a competition, It brings endless happiness. This made me more interested and more confident. I felt like there was always a force pushing me upwards. Maybe it was due to my deep love for calligraphy?
Calligraphy can also reveal a person’s personality and characteristics throughout his life. For example, I love running script and cursive script the most. The calligraphy teacher said that just as my personality matches cursive script, some people love official script the most, so that person should be well-behaved. This made me sigh that once the words were written, his character and even his life were determined.
Calligraphy is the national treasure of the Chinese people, and calligraphy is the Chinese people’s own wealth.
Ah! Calligraphy, I love your soft and straight brush; I love your rice paper as white as snow; I love your light and pleasant ink.
