Qigong (1912-2005), who called himself "Qi Minggong", had the courtesy name Yuanbai, also known as Yuanbo, and the name Yuanbei Jushi. He was a Manchu in Beijing. The ninth generation grandson of Emperor Yongzheng. A famous contemporary Chinese calligrapher, painter, educator, classical philologist, connoisseur, redologist, poet, and master of Chinese studies. He once served as associate professor and professor of Beijing Normal University, member of the Standing Committee of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, chairman of the National Cultural Relics Appraisal Committee, director of the Central Research Institute of Literature and History, doctoral tutor, consultant of Jiusan Society, honorary chairman of the Chinese Calligraphers Association, and world Chinese calligrapher and painter. Founding Chairman of the Buddhist Association of China, consultant to the Chinese Buddhist Association, the Palace Museum, and the National Museum, and president of the Xiling Seal Society.
