How classic the Preface to Ci Collection is!

Recently, I read Preface to Ci Collection, and I was moved by this post.

How classic the Preface to Ci Collection is! China has a long history and the Chinese language is vast. The classic works are magnificent and coquettish, which is enough to make future generations worship. Among them, the preface to the holy teachings of Huairen Ji Wang Xizhi is particularly classic.

First, form a background classic. Xuanzang returned to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda to translate the scriptures in the year of 17. Three years later, Emperor Taizong Li Shimin prefaced his translation. Can these characters and story backgrounds be classic?

Secondly, the formation process is classic. After Taizong wrote the preface, it was written by Yu Shinan, a famous calligrapher at that time. But Huairen, a monk, probably doesn't think it's classic enough. He spent 24 years collecting Wang Xizhi's words, forming a "book saint edition" and asking people to erect a monument. This preface has been preserved to this day. Including Xuanzang, it took 44 years to learn from the scriptures. If traced back to Wang Xizhi, the gestation time will be longer (about 300 years). In fact, although the book Saint is "holy", it has been wandering immortals for two centuries, and Huairen actually "invited Wang Xizhi" to write a masterpiece. Monk!

Third, the content is classic. The Preface to the Holy Teaching not only has the preface of two emperors, but also the thanks of Xuanzang. The key point is that the full text of the Heart Sutra is also included. I'm embarrassed to say how classic the Heart Sutra is.

Fourth, calligraphy classics. Wang Xizhi is a scholar, but he also succeeded in Li Shimin, but failed in Li Shimin. "Preface to Lanting Collection" was buried with him, and other works have been hard to find because of their age. The Preface to the Holy Teaching retains the essence of Wang Ti's calligraphy. It is true that calligraphers emerge one after another, and China's calligraphy is constantly developing.

You don't have to practice calligraphy, but you can't know nothing about these classics, such as the preface to the sacred teachings of Huai Ren Ji Wang Xizhi.
