The origin of traditional Chinese characters
Traditional Chinese is the Chinese writing system that came into being after Xiao Zhuan evolved into official script (later, regular script, running script and cursive script appeared). Since 195s, the Chinese people and the Chinese government have simplified traditional Chinese to form a new Chinese writing standard, namely simplified Chinese.
Simplified Chinese is mainly composed of inherited characters and simplified characters introduced by the Chinese people and the Chinese government after 195s. At present, simplified Chinese is mainly used in mainland China and Southeast Asia (such as Malaysia and Singapore), while traditional Chinese is mainly used in Taiwan Province, China, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and Macao Special Administrative Region.
