There are 20 poems in this volume, named "Ode to the South of the City". The original poem was written by Zhang Wei, a famous philosopher in the Southern Song Dynasty. Zhang Qian once worked as a scholar in Changsha Miaofeng Chengnan Academy. Twenty poems in "Miscellaneous Fu in the South of the City" are his poems describing the scenery in the south of Changsha. Shortly thereafter, Zhu met Zhang Wei at Chengnan Academy, read Nanxuan's poems and wrote 20 "Chorus of Chengnan". Zhu's calligraphy spread all over the world through the hand of Zhu's fifth grandson and returned to Zi County. At that time, the original work of "Ode to the South of the City" written by Zhang Wei was lost, so Shi Yu asked Yang Weizhen to chase Zhang Wei's original poems, and Tieya recorded 20 of Zhang Wei's original poems. In addition to the original poems, Yang Weizhen also wrote two Redundant Comments, briefly describing the reasons for supplementing the book, and commenting on Zhang Nanxuan's poems, saying that "some ancient people thought about it".
3 Appreciation and editing of works
In the Yuan Dynasty, Yang Weizhen's calligraphy was particularly unusual, because his stippling was unconventional. Although there is no sense of elegance and agility in structure, its brushwork is tough and steep, with strong bones and muscles, strange posture and a magnificent atmosphere. Wu Kuan, a calligrapher in the Ming Dynasty, commented on his book: "As soon as the soldiers were moved, the three armies started to play and the axe was broken, so they set an example and returned. Even husband's book is similar. " Xu Youzhen also said: "The iron cliff is crazy and strange, but the steps are very high." This work was written when Yang Weizhen was 67 years old, and its style was avant-garde.
