Before the "Inscription" quoted in "Inscription on Mount Ji", there was a preface, which described the historical and theological thoughts related to Mount Tai and explained the process of Li Longji's own decision to worship Zen.
The inscription records for the first time the reason and scale of the closure of Zen in Xuanzong of Tang Dynasty. "I have lived in the throne for ten years and four years, but I am ignorant of morality and Taoism"; Described the process of closing the Zen ceremony; Praise and brag about the achievements of the five saints; Sweep away the old habit of emperors "stealing" the blessing of gods, change the stereotype that emperors closed temples only to satisfy personal extravagant hopes, and clearly put forward "sincerely moving heaven to bless our name"; He also earnestly warned the latecomers that "the Tao lies in examining politics, and the name does not follow the desire", which fully embodies the ambition and pragmatic characteristics of governing the country of Xuanzong in Tang Dynasty.
Li Longji believed that the reason why Qin Shihuang and Emperor Wudi closed Zen Buddhism was that virtue did not accord with heaven, so they were humiliated. Only he, Li Longji, successfully closed the Zen Buddhism, not only without the humiliation of disaster and pollution, but also fully enjoyed the auspicious spirit, so he proudly announced. The grand occasion of the Kaiyuan period made him full of ambitions. Because later generations carved the word "Grand View of the World" on the upper part of the cliff stone carving in the Tang Dynasty, the peak is also called Daguan Peak.
