Summary of more than 8 months of learning calligraphy for beginners

I have been catching a cold for the past few days, sneezing and running nose non-stop, and I feel too lazy to go out. I have been staying at home since noon. The cold was uncomfortable, and I always felt that the cold was caused by blowing the air conditioner too much, so I didn't want to blow the air conditioner, so I took a long nap and woke up almost at night.

I washed my face, played with my mobile phone for a while, put on the background music of Li Jian's "Lake Baikal", and started writing calligraphy. I wrote it down on a few pieces of rough-edged paper, and my head was covered with sweat.

I have long discovered that I tend to sweat when writing calligraphy. In this summer, it is even easier to sweat when writing calligraphy. Fortunately, sweating can detoxify, which is also a good thing.

Taking a look at the rough paper that was last written on, the number has reached 956. I had planned to write an average of 3 pieces of rough paper every day, and I finally kept my promise.

I have been practicing calligraphy for more than 8 months without realizing it, and the rough paper I have written on is already packed into a cardboard box. Although the calligraphy is still ugly and cute, I am still very happy in my heart, because during this time of writing calligraphy, I am happy, focused, peaceful and serious. This peaceful state is what I like.

A brief summary:

In the past 8 months, I have written 956 pages of rough paper. It looks like a lot of numbers, but it's actually nothing. There are only 15 squares on a piece of paper, and it's just 15 words. I am the kind of person who writes very quickly. Sometimes if I have more time, I can write eight, nine or ten pages in one go.

In the first seven months, I basically only wrote "Zhang Qian Monument" in official script. In the past month or so, I have been writing in official script, seal script (Deng Shiru's Thousand-Character Essay), and regular script (Yan Zhenqing's Yan Qin Li Stele) at will. I wrote whatever I wanted to write, and I didn't write any if I was afraid. I completely followed my mood.

It took more than 8 months, whether it was long or short, but I was able to persevere and I was very happy. Hope you can stick with it!
