First, the four forms of dialogue commonly used in novels and the use of punctuation marks.
The reason why I want to write chapters is because I find that many friends have not mastered this basic knowledge. Someone must have misused punctuation when reading a book. For many people, perhaps this small mistake will make him jump out of the play and make a negative evaluation of the author.
The dialogue consists of two parts: the content of the speech and the tips.
Verbal content: refers to what someone has said. Hint: it is a sentence that plays a role of hint. It plays a role in telling readers who said this, under what circumstances and how to say it.
According to the position of the hint in the sentence, there are four forms of dialogue. Four forms of dialogue use different punctuation marks.
The first form:? The first is the prompt, followed by a colon, and the speech is enclosed in double quotes.
Wrong demonstration: Chen saw him, smiled and waved and said, "Big star, why are you so idle?" No TV shows.
? The comma after "Hello" is wrong and should be changed into a colon. "Why are you so idle in the back" and "Aren't you going to shoot a TV series?" It should also be changed to a question mark.
Correct demonstration: Chen saw him, smiled and waved and said, "Big star, why are you so idle?" Don't you have to shoot a TV series? "
The second form:? The prompt is in the middle, with a pair of double quotes in front, a comma behind the prompt and a pair of double quotes behind it.
Error demonstration: "? Ah? " Jiang Han was surprised and thought he had heard wrong. "Old man, you, what did you say?"
The period after "I thought I heard wrong" is wrong and should be changed to a comma.
Correct demonstration: "? Ah? " Jiang Han was surprised and thought he had heard wrong. "What did you say, old man?"
The third form: put quotation marks after the prompt and a period after the prompt.
Correct demonstration: the queen mother's face began to twitch. "Move to him." She said.
The fourth form: without prompting, quote the content of the speech.
Correct demonstration: "No, he is a reporter of a magazine." ?
These four forms of expression are actually the necessary conditions for their existence and have different functions. When reading a book, everyone should ponder more: why use this instead of that?
For example, in the second form, you can take a sentence apart, insert the speaker's movements and demeanor in the middle, and then continue to speak.
Of course, many articles written in plain English now only use the first form directly, and there is no written description.
For example, sunflower: "My family is in poor condition, and I want to earn some money to reduce the burden on my family, even if I can only earn 1000 yuan a month. However, no one seems to like reading what I wrote, and my mother is afraid that I will delay my studies. I am also very contradictory now, and I don't know what to do ... "
Wang Ritian: "That's easy. I happen to have a very good idea, but I don't have time to write it myself. I'll pay you, and you can write it for me. How about it? " Sunflower: "Ah? Really? How much are you going to pay? Do you have five dollars and a thousand words? "
This is actually a lazy way, or a relatively simple way.
Personally, I prefer to use the four forms alternately, so that readers will not look monotonous, just like calligraphy, which will give readers a kind of aesthetic feeling of "corresponding size, alternating length, virtual reality, swaying posture and turbulence".
Dialogue is boring, mostly because of the lack of hidden words.
? People don't say everything they say. On the contrary, people often say what they mean, not what they mean, but what they mean. Maybe shy, maybe stupid, maybe cheating.
? Thinking about "I love you", saying "I hate you", thinking about "I hate you" and saying "the boss is wise".
? When what you think is different from what you say, readers will read it with great interest.
You can't write: man: I love you, don't leave me. Woman: No, I'm looking for a rich second generation. You have to write: M: Tomorrow is your birthday. I bought ribs, star anise and lotus root as your favorite stewed ribs with lotus root ... come back early tomorrow? W: He invited me to Michelin tomorrow. M: Shall I put it in the refrigerator and do it the day after tomorrow? W: We will go to Maldives the day after tomorrow. Male: ... Female: Don't contact me in the future.
Hide the true meaning of the dialogue, let the characters tell the truth, speak human words and say what they say every day. When the hidden words are combined with the context, the effect will really show.
For example: Wang Er, do you love me? This is an ordinary conversation.
Childhood friends, two young people have no guess, she coquetry took man next door's arm: "Wang Er, do you love me?" Qianwen: I'll give you a chance to please me. Say sweet words quickly, you idiot! Fall in love, meet parents, get married, install a house, quarrel, cheat, divorce. A divorce agreement was put on the table. She looked at her ex-husband with red eyes and said, "Wang Er, do you love me?" Qianwen: You bastard, I was blind to see you! But ... as long as you lie to me, I will believe you. Then the man died and she was old. One day, she sunbathed in the yard. The sun froze and there was no wind. She looked at the sky through reading glasses and suddenly said to herself, "Wang Er, do you love me?" Subtext: asshole, I miss you. This is unusual.
Dialogue: Dialogue should be colloquial. Most dialogues are short sentences, and few complete sentences. Don't tell stories in the dialogue. Ignite feelings with dialogue. If the reader can judge the mood according to the context, don't describe the mood.
Example: (Excerpted from Liu Heng's Raping Zhang Damin). Zhang Damin's wife had no milk after giving birth, and Zhang Damin stewed turtles for her to breast-feed. Sister thought that Damin had married his daughter-in-law and forgotten his mother. )
"It is! Eat fish all day. How many crucian carp seeds have you eaten? Did you buy it for our mother? My mother can't even eat fish once every six months! The tortoise is coming again, a queen! You are so careful. You think about your mother when you buy good food, which is better than anything else! What am I doing here? I just can't get used to it! " "Mom doesn't milk again!" "But mom is mom." "I just bought a fish last month." "That's not a fish!" "It's fish, it's hairtail!" "A little wider than the table bandwidth!" "That's hairtail, too!" "It still stinks!" "Not bad for me, not enough money!" "Buying turtles is enough!" "Two people, come with me!" Very, very colloquial, crunchy to read.
The two men said angrily, "that's not a fish!" " Daming raised his voice: "That's fish, I bought hairtail", and the effect was much worse.
Dialogue training method: record a real dialogue. Real conversations are often wordy. Write them down and delete them. Plot-oriented text, press the ratio of dialogue and narrative to 3: 7.

There is almost no dialogue in the dead part of the lamp, only one sentence: "Don't blame Lao Song, blame the children". If you write the dialogue between Madden and Lao Song, you won't have this emotional power. Behind the conversation between Lao Wang and the boss, every sentence is a small bomb, which explodes the reader's heart.
