Editor-in-chief of Ink of Zhongnanhai Historic Sites, participated in the compilation of large-scale reference book "Standardizing the Sea of Chinese Characters", taught "Lishu Techniques and Weibei Techniques" in China Calligraphy Lecture Hall, and published teaching videos and CDs. I will devote my experience in learning calligraphy and the achievements of calligraphy art research to the society without reservation.
Since the early 1970s, Mr. Zhang Youqing and his calligraphy works have participated in many international calligraphy exchanges, and held calligraphy exhibitions and lectures in Japan, South Korea, the United States and other countries. Calligraphy works have been selected for exhibitions at home and abroad and won many awards. He was the judge of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th China Calligraphy and Seal Cutting TV Calligraphy Competition, the deputy secretary-general of the organizing committee of the 3rd and 4th international cultural exchange "Secler Cup" China Calligraphy Competition, and a member of the judging committee. After learning calligraphy, I am good at official script, studying famous inscriptions of past dynasties, and pursuing innocent and unrestrained charm. Pay attention to capture the dignified, symmetrical, calm and strong atmosphere in the regular script of Tang Dynasty and the inscriptions of Six Dynasties.
He studied under Mr. Yu Feichang, a master painter, and then studied calligraphy. Wei Bei is good at official script, especially bamboo slips. The lettering works of books have participated in many international and national book fairs and lettering art exhibitions, visited Japan, South Korea, the United States and France for many times, and held calligraphy joint exhibitions and lectures.
Zhang Youqing stepped out of his heroic style in Han bamboo slips and belongs to another type of calligraphy, just like this elegant and charming art form. As can be seen from his calligraphy, Gu Zhuo's calligraphy in the Han and Wei Dynasties was simple, dignified and gorgeous, and the simplicity and frankness of bamboo slips injected a bold and unrestrained face into his calligraphy.
Zhang Youqing has formed his own unique style, which is gentle and harmonious. This is inseparable from his long-term hard work and extensive artistic knowledge in the inkstone industry. What is more commendable is that his unique spiritual temperament collides with the style of Han bamboo slips and Han steles. An innovation is a step forward for human culture. The long river of art can reach thousands of miles precisely because countless artists make a mickle and make a mickle.
