Jiuquan Park is located at Gulou East 1.9 km, covering an area of 270,000 square meters. It is the only well-preserved China garden in Hexi Corridor with a history of more than 2,000 years. There are springs, lakes, mountains and rocks in the park, and there are eight scenic spots, namely Jiuquan Scenic Area, Moon Cave Jinzhu Scenic Area, Western Han Scenic Area, Qilian Chengbo, Shenyun, Quyuan Catering Show, Flowers and Moon, and Luban Evening Boat. The two plaques hanging in the central hall reveal the unique scenery and profound historical connotation of Jiuquan Park. Among them, Pearl of the Sea was written by Zhang Daoxing, director of China Calligraphers Association, and Scenery of Spring Lake was written by Cao Wu. There is a bull's head relief above the plaque, which is carved with granite stone unique to the depths of Qilian Mountain. According to legend, in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties, Jiuquan City was often flooded, and it was said that there were demons and ghosts. People built a temple in the northwest corner and southwest corner of the Bell and Drum Tower to suppress evil spirits. Because the two temples and the bell and drum tower form the shape of a bull's head, people also call Jiuquan City "Woniu City".
Western Han Jiuquan Park
