Taoism only seeks immortality and is too vague about the afterlife, so Taoism only practices this life, and the blessings of this life are only in this life; Buddhism believes that as long as people continue to do good deeds and enter reincarnation after death, they can have good karma. Both require people to do more good deeds, but Taoism requires that doing good deeds in this life will be rewarded in this life, while Buddhism says that doing more good deeds in this life will lead to better life enjoyment in the next life.
