First, Taoism pays attention to the cultivation of this life. Taoism only talks about cultivating this life because its ultimate goal is to pursue immortality, that is, people who are good at cultivating immortality. When a person dies, there will be no afterlife, only practice in this life. Taoism believes that everything in heaven and earth is formed by Yuan and Tao. What will happen if a person has an immortal bone? Yuan? 、? Tao? Combine two into one and become immortal. Taoism advocates alchemy, yellow and white, and immortality. In many Taoist books, there is little about the afterlife. The essence pursued by Taoism lies in this life, pursuing the meaning of life through the constant practice of body and soul. In Taoism, regardless of whether the practice is for this life, they pay attention to the secular newspaper, and the bad things done in this life will be rewarded in this life, so Taoism only practices this life.
Second, Buddhism only practices afterlife. Buddhism spread gradually in China since the end of Han Dynasty. After Buddhism arrived in China, there were many schools, but no matter which school paid attention to human reincarnation. Buddhism has created an illusory world for people. Buddhism believes that everything in the world is born out of nothing, so he asks people to focus on nothing. Buddhism attaches great importance to pure land reincarnation and karma, and advocates that people can do good deeds and accumulate virtue after death and enter the western paradise. Buddhism tells everyone that only by persuading others to be kind can there be good blessings in the afterlife. As long as you believe in Buddhism and do more good deeds, you can accumulate more merits and have a good reincarnation in the afterlife and enjoy it. This is why Buddhism pays attention to the afterlife.
Taoism only seeks immortality and is too vague about the afterlife, so Taoism only practices this life, and the blessings of this life are only in this life; Buddhism believes that as long as people continue to do good deeds and enter reincarnation after death, they can have good karma. Both require people to do more good deeds, but Taoism requires that doing good deeds in this life will be rewarded in this life, while Buddhism says that doing more good deeds in this life will lead to better life enjoyment in the next life. Either way, as long as people are full of confidence in life, do more good deeds, help them more and live a good life.
