In 2005, he was the editor-in-chief of the Dictionary of Appreciation of Chinese Characters, Wuhan: Wuhan Press.

From June 5 to 10, 2003, the Chinese painting After the Rain in the Western Hills, edited by Rong, won the first prize of the second Fuhushan Golden Autumn Culture and Art Festival calligraphy and painting competition held by Wuhan University.

In 2007, Saatchi Gallery and China Artists Network reported eight works of art.. Judge of Contemporary Art, No.9 issue of Chinese and Foreign Economy, 2007. In February, 2008, the Chinese painting Autumn in the Western Hills won the gold medal in the eighth volume of China Painters' Collection. With remarkable achievements, he was hired as a visiting professor at China Calligraphy Correspondence College in order to strengthen the exchange of calligraphy and painting. In 2008, Chinese paintings After the Rain in the Western Hills and Vision were included in Volume C of China Painting and Calligraphy Auction Gallery, and were awarded the honorary title of "People with the Most Market Appreciation Potential in 2008".
