The origin of "Eight Diagrams" is the expression of ancient ancestors' feelings and understanding of the space, and it is also a note symbol produced by the needs of life. The original purpose of "Eight Diagrams" is the same as the previous "Knot Notes" of Sifang Station to record the situation and changes of the production base. Later, it gradually evolved to speculate on climate change and predict the future. To explore the origin of "Eight Diagrams" needs to go back to the ancient times, and begin with the formation of three concepts of "Eight Diagrams": Yin and Yang, Eight Diagrams Mapping and Taiji. The concept of "Yin and Yang" is the first view of nature formed by our ancestors in the whole image and implication structure of "Eight Diagrams". In their original conscious thinking, the evolution of sunshine, moonlight, hurricane, thunder, lightning, rainstorm and snow has formed new heat and cold, light and darkness. Therefore, the "yin and yang breath" of "light, darkness, heat and cold" is always tied to their survival. This is the ancient ancestors' concept of meteorology in the early days of the universe and nature, and later they realized the natural law that "Yin and Yang" will constantly change and go round and round.
