Wu Muyao (1900-1982) was named Fuding, with the courtesy name Muyao. His self-titles were Zhuosou, Pingweng, and Zhenmo. A native of Yongnian, Hebei Province, he has lived in Kaifeng City, Henan Province for a long time. He is a famous contemporary calligrapher, connoisseur and poet in Henan Province. In 1928, he studied at the Department of Chinese Studies of China University under Liang Qichao, Chen Yinke, Fan Wenlan, Huang Kan, Shao Ruipeng, etc. He is the author of "Taishui Goblet Tan" and "Xianzhui Gossip", and poetry collections include "Zao Xiang Meng Ying", "Anling Tour of Grass", "Shizhai Inscriptions and Postscripts", "Thirty-six Calligraphy Rhymes", "Chun Cao Xuan Xiao". "Manuscript", "Henan Province Jinshimu", etc. His calligraphy achievements are particularly outstanding, he is good at various calligraphy styles, and he is quite influential at home and abroad.
