China's paintings and calligraphy are the crystallization of China's splendid civilization for 5,000 years, the great contribution of the descendants of the Yellow Emperor to human art, and the wisdom and creation of artists of all ages. "At the beginning of art, there was sculpture". Sculpture is one of the oldest and most important art types in the world. Sculpture museums of past dynasties have concentrated on displaying a number of works of art that shine with oriental civilization and wisdom. In addition to paintings and sculptures of past dynasties, there are four famous galleries in the Art Gallery: Fu Baoshi, Chen Zhifo, Su Tianci and Wu Weishan.

19 exhibition hall: literary masters and gifts-special exhibition of Fu Baoshi and Central University School of Painting (temporary exhibition)
Fu Baoshi and Central University had forged an indissoluble bond in the first half of 1930s. The period of Central University became one of the important periods of Fu Baoshi's Chinese painting creation, which laid a solid foundation for his future Chinese painting development.
2 1 Exhibition Hall: Jade Painting and Hunjin (Temporary Exhibition)
This exhibition is divided into two phases according to the development process of "stone into painting" in chronological order. The early Qing dynasty to the late Qing dynasty was the last period, and the late Qing dynasty to the Republic of China was the next period. The museum has a fine collection of cultural relics, including inkstones, seals, rubbings, ancient books, calligraphy and painting, etc.
Hall 22: Revival —— Chen Zhifo and Modern Jiangsu Fine-brush Flower-and-Bird Painting (Temporary Exhibition)
This exhibition featured more than 30 meticulous flower-and-bird paintings by more than 20 painters who lived or worked in Jiangsu in modern times. It is hoped that through these works, the face of modern Jiangsu meticulous flower-and-bird painting will be roughly outlined.

Hall 24: Wu Weishan Sculpture Museum (Permanent)
Wu Weishan, born in 1962, is an outstanding contemporary sculptor in China. In 2000, Nanjing Museum established "Wu Weishan Sculpture Museum" to display Nanjing sculptures.
Hall 25: Looking Back —— Special Exhibition of Modern Calligraphy in Nanjing Museum (Temporary Exhibition)
This exhibition featured dozens of representative works of famous calligraphers and celebrities, showing the development course and outstanding achievements of modern calligraphy.
Hall 26 and Hall 27: Su Tianci Oil Painting Exhibition (Permanent)
Su Tianci was an outstanding oil painter and art educator in China in the 20th century. He devoted his life to oil painting teaching, creation and research, and created image oil paintings with China cultural spirit and oriental artistic charm. Su Tianci's oil painting gallery was specially set up in Nanjing Museum to show the public his oil painting art with oriental artistic conception and China spirit.
Hall 28: A Half-Day Leisure —— Elegant Life in Gan Long (Temporary Exhibition)
The theme of this exhibition is the elegant life during the Qianlong period, focusing on the leisure and elegance of life in the palace, and restoring the study scene with the help of rich palace poems and palace cultural relics. The exhibition is divided into three chapters: leisure, elegance and elegance, and presents a colorful leisure life with daily utensils, furnishings, stationery, calligraphy and painting.

Jiangsu is located in the eastern coastal center of the motherland, downstream of the Yangtze River and Huaihe River. With the convenience of natural conditions, the city is rich in products and prosperous. Thanks to the north-south traffic, it is a place where cultures blend and people gather. One side of the soil and water nourishes one side of the people, but also breeds one side of folk culture. In southern Jiangsu, the exquisite and exquisite Wu customs were bred. In northern Jiangsu, Chu-Han culture has a long history, thus forming a brave and solemn Xu Huai folk custom. The central Jiangsu region is the intersection of the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal and the Yangtze River, and it has formed a folk custom of raising yang with both rigidity and flexibility.
