Wang Dao's main achievements

Wang Dao is usually modest, generous, compassionate and kind, so he can tolerate and adjust all aspects of contradictions and basically achieve harmony. The basic point of its administration is to recruit a group of northern gentry as the backbone, contact the southern gentry as the auxiliary, and be the leaders of the northern and southern gentry themselves; Install yourself as an emperor. However, due to the contradictions between the gentry in the north and the south and between the king and Sima, it is impossible to establish the Eastern Jin Dynasty if these contradictions cannot be adjusted to a relatively balanced state. Wang Dao's lifelong career was to adjust these contradictions, which resulted in favoring Jiang Zuo. This kind of situation is also the concern and hope of Wang Dao and the Jin and Yuan emperors.

Wang Dao's "overseas Chinese sending method" has become an important measure to resettle exiled gentry and ease the contradiction between North and South. At the same time, it also played a certain role in the reclamation, reproduction and economic development of some desolate and barren areas with vast territory and sparsely populated.

According to Shi Shuo Xin Yu, in his later years, he completely ignored government affairs and just signed an oath. I sighed: "People say I am confused, but future generations will miss my confusion." Wang Dao loved calligraphy (in fact, he carried out his measures to appease the gentry and ease the contradiction with the forces in the upper and lower reaches of the Yangtze River). When he moved eastward, he sewed calligraphy posts in his sleeves and vowed to "stick people to death", which shows his love for calligraphy. He often teaches his family to respect calligraphy. His cousins Wang Xizhi, Sun Zi, Wang Min are all calligraphers.

Wang Dao's calligraphy works handed down from generation to generation include Sheng Xian Tie (seven lines in Chunhua Pavilion Tie) and Gaishuo Tie, among which Gaishuo Tie is one of the representative works in the development of modern cursive script.

Tang Dou Yi commented on his calligraphy in Shu Shu Fu: "Polish the front mold, leave fragrance behind the car, store it in the wind, and earn more money."

Zhang Huaiguan's Book End lists Wang Dao's running script and cursive script as "functional goods" and says that "the cursive script is wonderful, sparse and gloomy. Although there are many talents, they are insufficient. It is difficult for the Yuan and Ming emperors to close books. Wang:' Wang leads the way, and the grass depends on your life.' "。 He also rated his calligraphy as a third-class book review. Wang Dao's collected works have eleven volumes. Complete also includes: Xie Luan religion for help, offering sacrifices to religion, seeking other exorcism, table, inscription essay, self-deprecating essay, national history essay, retribution essay, corporal punishment essay, memorial week essay.
