Master Xuanhua, Master Yinshun, Master Kong Jing, etc. Everyone has a solution for the first chance.
I have listed the answers of Master Yin Shun and Master Kong Jing respectively, and I believe you should be able to understand them after reading them.
The following is the enlightenment of the body posture teacher, which is taken from Four Noble Truths and Origin and Mahayana Wisdom.
"Foreword' Buddhism' is a combination of Buddhism and Buddhism. Buddha is the abbreviation of Sanskrit Buddha, which means awakening. Dharma is a literal translation of Sanskrit Dharma, and the accurate definition is to hold the track, that is, the unchangeable track method. The conjugation between Buddha and law should be interpreted as the law of Buddha. "
"Buddha" is a transliteration of the Sanskrit Buddha, which means a person who realizes the truth and laws of the universe, so he is called the awakened one. "Dharma" is a literal translation of Sanskrit Dharma, and the accurate definition is to hold the track (that is, the unchangeable track method). Some reason will inevitably produce some consequences, and there is an unchangeable trajectory law in the middle. This is the inevitable principle. For example, people and everything will inevitably be bad and destroyed after birth. No matter in the past, present or future, this inevitable principle will not change, so it is called track holding or track law.
"The original law was' not made by Buddha, not made by others'; Originally called "legal method"; It is natural, stable and universal, and it is called' legal, legal and legal'. "
Buddha said that this law (that is, the law of universal truth) was not created by Buddha or anyone else. That's what it is, so it's called' Faer'. That's what' Faer' originally means.
The law of universal truth is neither a patent nor an invention of anyone. That's what happened. It is in this universal law that the Buddha discovered its truth and realized that there is such an unchanging orbit in the universe. He knows that this law is like this, inevitable and universal. After understanding this law of truth, the Buddha no longer doubts the truth of all laws. "Legitimacy", that is, the law of truth has its own nature; "Living by law" means constant stability; The legal world is everywhere. In other words, the body, mind and law we are facing are changing, and there is an inevitable principle that the operation of law is the same in the past, present, future and anywhere in the world. It's called law.
"Why is this constant-track law called Buddhism? Because this is due to the original idea of Sakyamuni Buddha in India, which later became popular in the world; Buddha is a dharma book, and dharma comes from Buddha', so it is called dharma. "
Since it is universal, it does not belong to anyone. Why do you say Buddhism? Because this law of truth was first understood, understood and realized by Sakyamuni Buddha (that is, creative consciousness). Then guided by Sakyamuni Buddha to disciples, it became popular in the world. Without Buddha's consciousness, it is impossible to start such a method. Buddha is the first creative (non-creative) person, and it is displayed and expressed through his language. His disciples carried it forward and spread it to guide the practice of future generations. Therefore, Buddhism is the basic teaching of Buddhism, and "Buddhism is the basic teaching of Buddhism, and Buddhism originates from Buddhism" is called Buddhism. The law of universal truth is universal and inevitable. But we don't know the truth, so we can't follow the inevitable principle. Buddha was the first person to discover truth and know Tao. What did you realize? Is to realize the so-called truth law. Therefore, Buddhism is closely related to all the universal laws and phenomena, but we just don't understand them.
"According to the" law of Buddha "and its extended meaning, there are two explanations:
First,' Buddhists often practice dharma': dharma is its way; Buddha is the honorific title of the person who created the reality of the world. Whoever can create this unchanging law is the Buddha. No matter the past, present and future Buddha, it will always be the same as Buddhism and Taoism; The dharma of Sakyamuni Buddha is equal to the dharma of other Buddhas. "
No matter any time and space in the past, present and future, anyone who realizes such cosmic truth is called Buddha. The method of Buddha's body identification is a universal law, and any Buddha must experience the same truth. As long as the Buddha is fully realized, it must be equal, because the law is the same. If what we experience is different from what the Buddha experienced, it can't be called Buddhism.
"Second,' Buddhism is called Buddhism': Buddhism is often used, so it is called Buddhism because of the original idea of Buddhism. Buddhist disciples practice according to the teaching method of Buddha's enlightenment, and the same enlightenment is what the Buddha feels and transmits. In the popularization of Buddhism, they explained, selected and expounded the Buddhism, so that it was fully expressed. What this Buddhist disciple thinks and says is of course Buddhism. These two points are the proper explanations of Buddhism. But what we know about Buddhism and Dharma actually comes from Sakyamuni Buddha and is rooted in Buddhism. Whether a Buddhist disciple preaches Buddhism depends on whether he conforms to the characteristics of respecting the fundamental teaching method. Therefore, we should strictly implement this view and choose the popular Buddhist practice and disciples' exposition. "
Some people think that Buddha Sakyamuni's own dharma is called Buddhism; If the Buddha didn't say it himself, it wouldn't be Buddhism. But the Buddha once said, "What I said is like dust on my paws, and what I didn't say is like dirt." The law of truth is universal, and what the Buddha can express is only a small part of the whole world, just like the dust on his claws, without declaring that it is expressed as the earth. Isn't that part of Buddha's talk about Buddhism? Isn't that part of Buddha's talk about Buddhism? When you really understand the truth of the universal truth law expressed by Buddhism, you may use different languages and expressions. As long as the content conforms to the truth law awakened by the Buddha, this is also Buddhism, which is called Buddhism. The Buddha has no teacher. Since enlightenment, his disciples have listened to the Buddha's teaching and experimented with material evidence according to his method. After enlightenment, you can preach. As long as the teachings are consistent with the truth and laws experienced by the Buddha, the language expressed may be different, but it is still Buddhism, so it is called Buddhism (Buddhism). These two points are the proper explanations of Buddhism.
Mahayana Buddhism talks about ten buddhas, and Sakyamuni Buddha is a figure that can be verified in history. You can't just say it's all Buddhism. Buddhism, after all, came from the identity card of Sakyamuni Buddha, and now the most fundamental basis is Buddhism. Therefore, the Buddhism taught by Buddhist disciple Hong Hong depends on whether he conforms to the characteristics of respecting the fundamental teaching method. There are many sects and schools of Buddhism now, and many of their methods are contradictory or even antagonistic, which makes us hesitate: if Buddhism is blind, why are there so many sects, and the theories of each sect are different? How do people choose? Everyone says what they say is true, and some are not. Before we have learned Buddhism and enlightenment, what should we use to criticize and choose? Especially lay people are very hard! True Buddhism is difficult to identify and choose. Therefore, the tutor pointed out this key point: when a mage and a Buddhist disciple talk about Buddhism, it depends on whether the Buddhism he talks about grasps the characteristics of the fundamental teaching method taught by Sakyamuni Buddha. The so-called "characteristics" are different from the general laws and heretical laws in the world, and are unique to Buddhism, which other heresies and religions do not have.
In the course of class, we should establish such an idea: What did Buddha realize at that time? What is the theoretical basis of the social thought and religious form of India's time and space background in the era of Sakyamuni Buddha? What's the difference between Buddhism and heresy? We must first choose this characteristic, so that we can see clearly what corresponds to the characteristics of Buddhism and affirm its correspondence with Buddhism. If it doesn't conform to the characteristics of Buddhism or even the same as heretics, then pay attention! This is the place to choose. Buddhism taught by Buddhist disciples does not absolutely represent Buddhism. After two or three thousand years of circulation, it is difficult to maintain the original flavor of Buddhism. After so many choices of good knowledge, some folk culture will always be added, and then there are various other karma relationships, and Buddhism has gradually deteriorated, which is different from the original work and its true taste has faded. Therefore, before we have a correct understanding of Buddhism, we are unable to make a choice. It's difficult to study now!
Generally speaking, we have been influenced by traditional folk beliefs since childhood-bye, I don't know what to worship, just follow adults. When I was a child, every region in Taiwan Province Province took turns to offer sacrifices to God, Mazu and Bodhisattva for several festivals a year. Invisibly, I learned some concepts of universal folk beliefs. But we don't know the real meaning and content, thinking that as long as we worship sincerely, we will be blessed; There is fear in my heart, and worship is more reassuring; If it is not safe, worship may be safer, thus establishing our concept. If you don't choose the difference between the characteristics of Buddhism and general worship, you will think that as long as you are a good person, you won't commit a crime, but this is just a belief. It can also be seen from here that our choice of law is difficult to understand. This becomes luck: if you worship Taoism, you are close to and assimilated by Taoist thought; If you are exposed to Christianity, you will be assimilated by Christianity, and it will be difficult to learn Buddhism. Even if you are lucky enough to get close to Buddhism, it is luck to get close to the mage: after listening to the good knowledge you have learned, you will first leave an impression, which will become an opportunity: does this mage realize it? Is virtue good? How deep is the law? Which school of theory do you study? None of this is possible. If this master studies pure land, then you have a deeper understanding of pure land; If you study Zen, you are more interested in Zen; If you study Tantric, you will feel very close to Tantric. Are you relying on luck invisibly? In addition, there is our feeling: "that's my master, of course I listen to my master." Master, right? Did master speak thoroughly enough? Our inability to make a choice leads to a preconceived tendency. Therefore, it is not easy to learn the true right view and understand the meaning of Buddhism! I am deeply touched by this. I found that I was very moved by the piety, protection and enthusiasm of the common people, especially in the general society. However, frankly speaking, only a few people can clearly establish the knowledge of Buddhism and the non-* * characteristics of Buddhism, and they really have the eye to choose Buddhism. People who study Buddhism are generally very hard. Moreover, there is a phenomenon that no matter which school of learning, people are eager to learn at first, and will gradually find problems after five years; Ten years later, I will slowly introspect and find that many problems have not been solved; Twenty years later, I will feel: bad! Old age, illness and death have all come, but the troubles are still unsolved and the fear of life and death remains the same. At that time, people were so worried that many people even lost confidence in Buddhism. So pay attention to whether the method you learn is correct. Have you grasped the characteristics of Buddhism? Do you understand the difference between Buddhism and secularism and heresy? Have we laid a solid foundation of Buddhism, which has been verified in life, and experienced the connotation of Buddhism in the contact between body and mind? If we really build the right knowledge, there will be opportunities for enlightenment and liberation at every moment in our lives. Have we really mastered this? So the instructor pointed out this point first. How to grasp the characteristics of the fundamental teaching method of Sakyamuni Buddha, and then decide whether what you have learned corresponds? When you finish this course and know these basics, you will have a choice in the future. Therefore, I often say that after taking this class, you may not be relieved immediately, but you will become a bodhisattva and an arhat immediately. But it will definitely help us to establish a very solid foundation for correctly understanding Buddhism, let us choose the Buddhism we want to practice and know how to solve the internal problems. And it is solved in this life, not after death. Therefore, how important it is to establish a correct understanding of Buddhism! We old students have never stopped studying for ten years, because they all benefit from a certain part, so we firmly believe in Buddhism, which is also based on this. With the vision of choosing Buddhism and knowing the non-characteristics of Buddhism, we have the ability to choose popular Buddhism practice and disciples' words, and know what kind of Buddhism can free us from useful opinions and what kind of Buddhism is just convenient to take us in.
"[Buddhism begins with all beings] All religions and philosophies have their fundamental positions; Knowing this position, it is not difficult to grasp his ideological center. Buddhism is based on feelings. If you don't pay attention to feelings, you can't grasp the true meaning of Buddhism from the perspective of the universe or society, from the perspective of material and spirit. "
This is very important! Many people study Buddhism, and some explore the first cause of the universe; Some talk from the whole social form; Another kind of research from our body and mind, such as materialism, only attaches importance to matter; Idealism only attaches importance to the spirit of the soul and fails to grasp the key points. If we discuss the first cause of the universe extensively, we will never get it. For example, if we want to discuss the last life, if we can see the last life, there will be a last life ahead, which will last forever and we can't find the first cause. How can we solve the problem? The same is true of science, and the first reason has not been found until today. Quarks have been found in material elements, but they are not the smallest. Quarks are still composed of six conditions. Therefore, if we discuss it from the first cause of the universe, it will never happen. The final result is to imagine that there is a primary creative reason-God, but that is the product of fantasy.
The instructor pointed out the key points: learning Buddhism must start with awareness itself. It can be seen from the nirvana of the Buddhist scriptures that what the Buddha wants to solve is the hardship of the lives of all beings. Everyone's life is bitter, especially in the age of Buddha. Everyone is suffering: poor material conditions, political turmoil, big countries eating the life of small countries, especially the Indian caste class, everyone is really suffering. People want freedom, in fact, in order to solve the suffering in our lives. The hardships of life are very extensive. Apart from all kinds of physical and mental pain, the biggest fear is facing the problem of death. We don't know where life comes from and what it will become after death. In the face of death, no one is not afraid! This is infinitely great suffering! Buddhism must return to our sentient beings, that is, human beings, to solve problems, return to the theme, and return to the fundamental position. What Buddhism needs to solve is our urgent task: people with status and wealth have troubles, people with poor living environment have troubles, people with good health have bad moods, people with good moods have different troubles and sorrows, but the same pain and troubles are what to do when facing the problem of death. Therefore, we must go back to a fundamental point. What we need to solve is our current physical and mental problems. Facing the problem of suffering, we must start with feelings. If we don't return to this position, is it still meaningful to discuss the first cause of the universe? What problems can it solve for us? If you think God is the first cause, can believing in God solve all your troubles? This is not the fundamental problem.
The tutor pointed out the key point: learning Buddhism is not to explore the truth of the universe extensively and find out the first cause. Just like now someone asks how many screws are there on the spaceship. Are there any creatures on other planets besides the earth? Is it meaningful to study this? How many screws have nothing to do with relieving your pain and troubles! Is there any creature that can solve our pain and troubles? Note that we are not talking about those problems, not the primary reason from social knowledge, but from our body and mind, and then go back to a fundamental, hard life, hard life, mental pressure and death oppression. How to solve these problems? If we can't solve the problems of body and mind at present, how can we solve the problems after death? Therefore, although we talk about sentient beings, we don't just care about our present body and mind. We just say that starting from here, starting from the vicinity where we can understand, observe and experience, and finally going deep into the evidence, we can solve the problem of life and death. Therefore, starting from all beings, this is the main point.
"Exploring the meaning of life and reaching the depths is religion. There are all kinds of religions in the world, and their meanings are quite different. However, there is one thing in common, that is, human beings are oppressed by nature, society and their own body and mind, and have to rely on and love him; I feel my shortcomings and smallness, but I am confident and self-respecting. I want to surpass him and control him. In this kind of activity, all beings show affection from their sense of dependence and transcendence, and become ideal converts. Religion is very important in life from the past to the present. The general religion, whether it is natural religion, social religion or self-religion, has a tendency of dependence. One's own intention is objectified, relying on the unity of fantasy and becoming an external god. So some people say that religion must have gods. Every time they think that people have the quality of separation from God, which is our self, mind or soul. As Christianity says, the human spirit comes from God. China also said: Destiny is called sex. With this little spirit, you can get close to God or be one with God. "
Kong Jing's inspiration comes from his understanding of Buddhism.

It is very important to know Buddhism correctly for the first time! Many fellow initiates have wrong ideas about Buddhism, so we widely publish and circulate this book to help beginners establish correct Buddhist ideas. Although the words are not satisfactory, I sincerely support and warm my heart. I hope that the initiates who are destined to be happy will get tangible and legitimate benefits!
1. What is Buddhism?
Fellow initiates:
Before learning Buddhism, we must have a correct understanding of Buddhism. If you miss the dharma, even if you spend a lot of time studying, there will be no result later. What a pity! Therefore, I will give you the simplest and most concise report on' What is Buddhism'.
The founder of Buddhism is Sakyamuni Buddha, who appeared in northern India 3000 years ago. According to the history of China, the Buddha was born in the 24th year of King Zhao of Zhou (Jiayin), died in the 53rd year of Ren Shen, and lived for 79 years. Modern Buddhism in China, a great virtue of the older generation, uses this calendar as the anniversary of Buddha's nirvana. According to historical records, when his old man was alive, he taught the public for forty-nine years. One thousand years after the demise of Buddhism, that is, the tenth year of Emperor Yongping of the Eastern Han Dynasty in China (AD 67), Buddhism was officially introduced to China.
If we want to understand Buddhism, we must first know:
What is' Buddha'?
What is' law'?
What is' Buddhism'?
What is' Buddhism'?
These questions are very important to our study. The word' Buddha' is transliterated from Indian Sanskrit, meaning' wisdom and enlightenment'. Why not use the words "wisdom" and "consciousness" to translate, but adopt the transliteration of "Buddha"? Because the meaning of Buddha is infinitely profound, it is impossible for us to include all the words of wisdom and awareness in China's vocabulary, so we transliterate and annotate them. The word Buddha is concrete and useful. From its ontology, it is' wisdom' and from its function, it is' consciousness'.
Physiologically, there are three kinds of wisdom:
First,' cutting wisdom': in the words of modern philosophy, it is to correctly understand the ontology of the universe; This kind of wisdom is called' cutting wisdom' in Buddhism.
Second,' Tao nurtures wisdom': species refers to various phenomena, and the phenomena in the universe are boundless. How did so many phenomena come about? Where did it come from? What is the phenomenon and process? What happened afterwards? Being able to correctly understand the wisdom of the universe is called' Tao planting wisdom'.
Third,' all kinds of wisdom': that is, the truth of life in the universe is completely clear, without any confusion and mistakes. Such wisdom is called' all kinds of wisdom'.
Sakyamuni Buddha has these three kinds of wisdom. Of course, through this wisdom, we can completely and correctly understand the truth of life in the whole universe. Wisdom is a great sleep. The Buddha tells us in the classics that there are three kinds of' awareness': first, self-awareness. Second, it can help others realize, which is called awakening him. The third is complete consciousness. Hinayana, Buddha, these people realize themselves. After they realized it, they didn't take the initiative to help others realize it. Classics often say that this is Hinayana. After Mahayana Bodhisattva realized, she was able to take the initiative to help all those who wanted to realize. "I hope to realize" means that when the opportunity is ripe, the Bodhisattva will definitely take the initiative to help him, and let him go from enlightenment to perfection. This kind of "perfection after all" is called "Buddha" in Buddhism, just like other religions praise the all-knowing and all-powerful God. The Buddha told us that such a complete wisdom and virtue,' awareness' is its virtue, and its role is enough for all living beings. It is clearly stated in the Jue Yuan Sutra that' all beings become Buddhas'; This is also what Hua Yan Jing said,' All living beings have the wisdom and virtue of the Tathagata'. In other words, all beings and Buddha are equal, and there is no difference. Now we have lost all our wisdom, virtue and ability! How did you lose it? The Buddha told us the root of the disease in one sentence-'But delusion and persistence cannot be proved'. This is the root of our disease. We have fallen from Buddhism to this point, and we are victims of delusion and persistence; It is also a delusion and persistence to continue reincarnation every day; Life is so bitter, I am still delusional and persistent. Delusion and persistence are indeed the root of all puzzles and disasters! Delusion and persistence take away a point, we get a point of freedom, and we take back a point of wisdom; If we want to get rid of delusion and persistence, our Buddha nature will be restored, and we will return to the original Buddha. The truth of this fact is clearly told to us by the Buddha in the Buddhist scriptures.
The object of great wisdom and great feeling is everything contained in endless time and space. This' 10,000' is not a number, it just describes a lot-boundless. It is often said in Buddhist scriptures that a hair or a grain of dust on a person is insignificant. Just report xiaomao, just report small dust; The great can reach the void dharma realm, and all these are the objects of our knowledge. The Buddha used a pronoun to represent all these things. This pronoun is called' Fa'. Therefore, when the word' Buddha' is linked together, it is endless wisdom and awareness, realizing that everything in the universe is universal. China people often say that Buddhism is boundless, indeed boundless. The object of perception has no margin, and so does wise wisdom. This infinite wisdom, you have to remember, is your own instinct.
However, there is another point that we can't easily understand, that is, the Buddha told us:' Our instinctive intellectual awareness and intellectual awareness objects (all things in the universe and all things in life) are one, not two.' This is not easy for us to understand. To be honest, if we think and observe calmly: if this sentence said by the Buddha is really true-whether this wisdom is perfect or not-then this sentence can be believed, and we should also believe it; If' knowledge' and' knowledge' are opposites, this kind of wisdom and perception will be difficult to be complete; In other words, it is limited, not perfect. But the Buddha told us that "knowledge and perception" and "knowledge and perception" are one, not two. This is the' one true dharma realm' often mentioned in Buddhism, and it is the truest, most complete and highest realm of Hua Yan. The western paradise mentioned by pure land Sect belongs to a real dharma realm. Above, we understand the meaning of the term' Buddhism' and have a superficial understanding of what' Buddhism' means.
In the early years of the Republic of China, there was a contemporary Buddhist Mr. Ouyang Wujing. He founded the Zhina Inner Hospital in Nanjing, and trained many Buddhist talents, both monks and at home. This master gave a speech at the 4th Sun Yat-sen University (now Nanjing Normal University) in the Republic of China 12. The theme is: "Buddhism is not a religion, not a philosophy, but a necessity at present." It caused quite a shock in China at that time. He cited many examples to defend Buddhism. This speech was edited by the layman Wang into a small volume, which was widely circulated in Taiwan Province Province. Take a closer look, his point of view is very correct.
The difference between Buddhism and superstition.
When Sakyamuni Buddha died, he taught our disciples four methods:
First, not relying on people according to law;
Second, breaking one's word according to righteousness;
Third, relying on righteousness instead of righteousness;
Fourth, rely on wisdom and not know.
If you can do these four things, you will be convinced. If not, there may be a danger of superstition.
What is the law? What is righteousness? Learn the four noble truths and the origin of Mahayana. The explanation here is easy to understand and accurate.
A true Buddhist disciple should realize what the Buddha knows and do what the Buddha does. Don't do evil, do good. Some fellow initiates may be superstitious, or you may not know his realm.
