Yu Yue (182 1- 1907), whose real name is Yin Fu, was born in Dainan Village, Wuzhongshan, Deqing County, Zhejiang Province. He has been a scholar in Qing Daoguang for 30 years. With the phrase "flowers are still in spring", Zeng Guofan, the examiner, appreciated him and entered imperial academy, making him an ordinary layman. At the age of 35, he worked as an assistant in the National History Museum. In the same year, he hired Henan to study politics. Tongzhi of the Qing Dynasty lasted for four years (1868), and was hired by the Governor of Zhejiang Province as a teacher of Jingjing Jingshe in West Lake (i.e. Shantou) in Hangzhou, and as the general manager of Zhejiang Bookstore ***3 1 year. It is suggested that four publishing houses in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shanghai, Yang and E should carve twenty-four histories respectively. He traveled all over the lakes and mountains and wrote a considerable number of poems, couplets, essays and inscriptions related to the landscape of the West Lake.

Yu Quyuan is knowledgeable, profound in Confucian classics and history, and quite accomplished in poetry, phonology, exegesis, writing, calligraphy, Buddhism, biography, novels, operas and essays. He has taught in the West Lake Jingshe for many years and has written more than 500 volumes of The Complete Works of Tang Chun.
