Tang Long, courtesy name Heping, was born in Beijing in 1952. He is a Manchu surname "Tata La". His grandfather worked in the Palace Museum. He was influenced by his family since childhood and loved calligraphy. He graduated from the Heilongjiang Provincial Calligraphy Institute and became a famous calligrapher. Mr. Wang Tian, ??a calligrapher, became his teacher and adopted him as his adopted son. He started with facial expressions, and then added calligraphy and stickers such as "Ode to Shimen", "Xi Niao" and Wei Stele to form his own style. He is currently a director of the Beijing Calligraphy Association, deputy secretary-general of the Beijing Fengtai District Calligraphy Association, a director of the Beijing Xuanwu District Artists Association, a director of the Beijing CPPCC Calligraphy and Painting Association, a researcher of the Beijing Chongwen District CPPCC Calligraphy and Painting Research Association, a member of the Beijing Lao She Research Association, and a deputy director of the Jiuzhou Calligraphy and Painting Academy.
