(1516-1555), a native of Rongcheng (in present-day Hebei Province), had the courtesy name Zhongfang and the nickname Jiaoshan. He was a Jinshi in Jiajing of the Ming Dynasty and served as a member of the Ministry of War. He was demoted because he impeached General Qiu Luan for being timid and compromising on An Da. Later, he was appointed as a member of the Ministry of Justice, Wai Lang, and the Military Selection Department of the Ministry of War, and was responsible for impeaching Yan Song for the ten major crimes. Emperor Shizong of the Ming Dynasty was angry and issued an edict to execute him.
According to legend, Yang Jisheng criticized the treacherous minister Yan Song, but was suppressed by Yan Song. Later he was transferred to the capital, passing through Shangyuan Village, which was located at the intersection between the north and the south. He lived in the Wang family store near Dengshan Mountain for a long time. He became friends with the store owner Wang Jiarui and wrote a couplet to the Wang family. :
The family originated from Tongxie Mansion, where Ming ministers once lived in Jiaoshan.
Wang Jiarui regarded it as a treasure and passed it down from generation to generation, hanging it out every Spring Festival.
When Yang Jisheng climbed Mount Deng, he wrote a poem called "Staying at Fenghuangshan Inn", but unfortunately the ink was lost. But the calligrapher Xu Han knew this poem. One year when he climbed to Dengshan Temple, he stood on a high place and looked at the eastern foot of Dengshan Mountain. He suddenly remembered Yang Jisheng's poem, and then he wrote:
Xianjun is worthy of Wang Jiarui. , I feel ashamed that I am just a minister of food and wealth.
I am not worried about my country's ambitions, but I am willing to wear a raincoat hat to become my eastern neighbor.
The bottom line is: "In March of the second year of Tongzhi, Xu Han wrote a book about Ding Gen who was good at cutting stones."
The stone carving of this poem is located 500 meters southwest of Dengshan Temple, facing north and south. It is covered with stone slabs to prevent erosion by wind and rain.
There are many anecdotes, anecdotes and legends about Mount Deng, such as the sacred tea of ??Hongyun Temple, "the roots of Mount Deng in Guandong" and so on.
It is said that a famous person from the Ming Dynasty came here to visit, and he was so excited that he wrote a couplet:
Dengshan step by step on Dengshan.
It is also said that the first couplet reads:
Climb the stone bench of Deng Mountain and climb higher step by step.
No matter what is said to be true, there is still no second line. If you are interested, you might as well give it a try.
