First, the writing method of calligraphy

1, the essentials of calligraphy writing methods: pointing to reality, palm deficiency, palm vertical, wrist flat, tube straight.

(1) refer to reality: your fingers should be solid and not weak, but you should not hold them too hard, otherwise your fingers will be inflexible and your written words will be stiff. Don't be too loose, the words written by the pen are soft and weak, and there is no wind.

(2) palm deficiency: when writing, the palm should be empty and the fingers should not be bent. Don't stick the ring finger and the little finger on the palm of your hand, as if holding an egg in your hand, and the tiger's mouth between your thumb and forefinger should be wider. In this way, the pen can be steady and flexible.

(3) palm vertical: when writing, the palm should be erected as much as possible. The palm of your hand can be straight, and it can be straight.

(4) Wrist level: it means that the wrist should be parallel to the desktop.

(5) Straight: When writing, try to keep the pen tube paper vertical, so that the strokes can be easily centered. However, in the specific process of carrying a pen, the pen tube sometimes has to be tilted. What is important is that it can be straight when tilted and its center of gravity is stable.

The position of the pen is closely related to the size of the handwriting. The higher the pen, the larger the pen range, generally speaking, the larger the word. Writing the same size, running script is higher than regular script, cursive script is higher than running script.

Second, the brushwork of calligraphy

1. Generally speaking, when the pen touches the paper and is ready to start writing, it is time to start writing. Also called "writing"; After the pen tip falls on the paper, walking on the paper is called stroke, also called "stroke"; When the pen tip runs to the end of the stroke, it will be retrieved by the pen collection.

2, the center, also known as the front, correctly hold the pen, the pen holder should be held straight, so that the pen tube is straight to the picture, that is to say, the pen tip always walks in the middle of the pen path when writing. The center is the core of the pen, which is the traditional brushwork.

3, before the side, also known as eccentric, the method of using a pen is that the pen tube should be tilted to one side, and the nib is exposed to the side. The lines written in this way are rich in changes, which makes the strokes have a beautiful posture.

4. Backstroke refers to going backwards in the opposite direction of the pen (that is, hiding the effect of the front) and then returning the pen.

5. Hidden front means that the pen tips at the beginning and end of the stroke are not exposed, but hidden in the stroke, which plays the role of "hiding the head and protecting the tail".

6. Exposing the front, also called holding the pen, means that the front end of the pen is exposed in the stroke, which is mostly used at the beginning and end of the stroke.
