Excuse me, who can briefly introduce Yu Shinan to me?

Yu Shinan, a calligrapher in Tang Dynasty

Yu Shinan: Two years in the Southern Dynasties. A.D. (558) —— Twelve years of Zhenguan reign of Emperor Taizong (A.D. 638), 8 1 year old. Yuyao, a native of Yuezhou (now Zhejiang).

The word Bo Shi. Chen Sui was an official for two generations and was old when he entered the Tang Dynasty. Emperor Taizong asked him to join the army. In the seventh year of Zhenguan, it was named Yongxing County, and in another year, it was named County Duke, so later generations also called it Yongxing. Yu Shinan learned calligraphy from Sun Zhiyong, the seventh son of the famous calligrapher Wang Xizhi, and was handed down by him personally, which made him a "two kings" and a wise brushwork. Yu Shinan was quiet, lustless, strong-willed, and upright in his comments, which won the esteem of Emperor Taizong. His calligraphy is round and vigorous, soft outside and firm inside. Critics believe that nepotism is fluttering, but the body is in step, which is a crime. His calligraphy, taught by Professor Zhiyong, inherited the tradition of the two kings and achieved good results. It can be called the masterpiece of the prosperous Tang Dynasty, and it is also called the four great calligraphers in the early Tang Dynasty with Ou Yangxun, Chu Suiliang and Xue Qi. His regular script pen is square, soft on the outside and rigid on the inside, without carving.

Yu Shinan doesn't choose pen and paper to write a book, but pays great attention to sitting posture and wrist movements. He believes that as long as the posture is correct and the wrist is weak, even thick paper and bald pen can be handy and creative.

According to legend, on one occasion, Emperor Taizong summoned Shi Nan and said, "Recently, I have ordered someone to decorate the huge screen of Daming Palace. You have quick thinking and exquisite calligraphy. Write the biographies of 105 heroic women on the screen. " Emperor Taizong said, and then took out the manuscript and introduced the main deeds of these women to Yu Shinan. So Nan listened to the imperial edict and came to Daming Palace. With his amazing memory, he wrote on the screen while writing. In order to keep his face parallel to the screen, Yu Shinan stepped on a stool, then abandoned the stool and squatted down, with skillful brushwork and steady posture. It took only one day and one night to finish this task. Yu Shinan finished writing the screen, but he was not tired. After careful examination, he didn't change a word!

His hand-carved stone carvings include the Confucius Temple Monument. The running script Epitaph of Princess Runan can be compared with Preface to Lanting.

1, "Confucius Temple Monument": Regular script, recognized by calligraphers in past dynasties as a unique skill of Yu Shu.

In AD 9 (626)1February, a monument was laid to establish Yuan Wude. Tang Gaozu canonized Confucius and built a new Confucius Temple.

2. Epitaph of Princess Runan: The running script is moist and beautiful, and the brushwork is similar to that of Mi Fei in Song Dynasty, so it is also said that it was copied by Mi Fei. Ten years of Emperor Taizong's Zhenguan (AD 636).
