The 20-meter-high giant stone Buddha in Zhejiang is over 1300 years ago, and there is a strange "falling stone" next to it in the Tang Dynasty.

I have always liked stone buddhas, especially the ancient ones. On the one hand, you can admire the carving skills, on the other hand, you can feel the majesty of Buddhism.

In Shaoxing, Zhejiang, there is a 20-meter-high man-made Buddha with a majestic appearance and a solemn face. I was deeply impressed by the unique appearance of the stone Buddha, and I still remember it after I came back. It's Ke Yan Buddha.

Go in from Ke Yan Scenic Area, walk through the grass and trees, and look up at the true face of the Buddha. The giant Buddha is wrapped in rocks and hidden in the south entrance, just like a "huge stone cocoon", and the giant Buddha is ready to break out of it at any time.

At first glance, the giant Buddha is very shocking. It stands on the water, with white clouds above its head and green hills on its back. Surrounded by flat land, it seems to fall from the sky and rise through the ground, which always feels a bit abrupt.

Stone Buddha statues in China are generally carved with their backs to rocks, such as Longmen Grottoes and Yungang Grottoes, which stand out of thin air like the Buddha. It's really hard to get.

In fact, the giant Buddha was originally supported by rocks. As early as 1800 years ago, the Ke Yan scenic spot where the Giant Buddha was located was a quarry in the Han Dynasty, and the strange stone hills were gradually eroded by skilled craftsmen. The giant Buddha was chiseled in the Sui Dynasty and completed in the early Tang Dynasty. It is said to be a Corinthian stonemason, carved with all the energy of three generations.

In the following years, the rocks connected with the giant Buddha were chipped away a little, and the giant Buddha slowly surfaced and existed independently.

The overall height of the Tiangong Giant Buddha is 20m, and the height of the internal Buddha statue is 1 1 m.. The Buddha statue is carved into a circle with a spiral bun on its head. Its face is full and kind, and its eyes are slightly open. It has looked down on all beings for thousands of years.

The carving skill of the giant Buddha is superb, with his ears close to his shoulders, his nose tilted, his left hand pressing his knees and his right hand making a statement. I looked up at the Buddha's eyes, feeling shocked and * * * singing from head to toe.

Thanks to the surrounding rocks, well-preserved Buddha statues and exquisite carvings, I once thought it was a modern replica, and I checked a lot of information before I confirmed it was a relic of the Tang Dynasty.

The giant Buddha in the Tang Dynasty is precious enough. I never thought that what is more precious is a grotesque stone next to it.

The strange rocks are so strange that people can't help but pay attention. It is thick on the top and thin on the bottom, like an upside-down hammer, straight into the sky. This is the famous "smoke removal from the furnace column".

The smoke in the furnace column is a literary description. Its real name is Yungu Kistler, with a height of 3 1 m and a bottom circumference of 4 meters. The thickness near the ground is less than 1 m. Seen from a distance, it rises into the air like a haze, so it is called "clear smoke in the furnace column".

It is precisely because of this strangeness that it became a grand scene as early as the Qing Dynasty, and there are poems praising it: the bronze column and the golden stem wave are named, and the solitary standard is beautiful and elegant; When was the magic tripod chiseled? The fairy palm is really fragrant and full of luster.

This strange stone, which has experienced earthquakes and thunderstorms, seems to be secretly protected by the giant Buddha on the side, which makes people marvel frequently. It is only occasionally that gravel falls due to weathering, so a circle of grass is used to prevent tourists from getting close to danger.

Look carefully at that strange stone, which is 20 meters high. There is a big word "Yungu" carved in Guangxu period of Qing Dynasty. The font was originally red, but it has become blurred after rain and snow weathering. On the other side, it is engraved with "the first stone in the world", which comes from the hand of calligraphers, which shows the extraordinary position of strange stones.

The original pine and cypress on the strange stone, identified by the forestry department, has a DBH of 40 cm and its age has exceeded 1000. It accompanied the strange stone for thousands of years, and finally disappeared on 20 14, and now only the root is left.

This strange stone is the "treasure of the town garden" in Ke Yan Scenic Area. It is in harmony with the giant Buddha, shining under the blue sky and white clouds, magnificent, just like a foreign object.

Shaoxing has a prosperous culture and religion since ancient times. Behind the giant Buddha and the grotesque rocks, there used to be a Tang Temple "Zhao Pu Temple", but it was not as lucky as the first two, but disappeared in the years. What we are seeing now is a modern renovated building, which stands on the mountain, twists and turns, is hidden in rocks, and is quite elegant in a famous monastery.

If you have the opportunity to go to Shaoxing, you can see the giant Buddha and the strange stones and feel the spectacular momentum.
