Zebra crossing engraved on the calligraphy seal of gifted scholars
Only some sections of Suzhou Liuyuan Road under maintenance can drive. At the main entrance of Liuyuan, a world cultural heritage site, a new zebra crossing attracted many Chinese and foreign tourists and pedestrians to watch and take photos.
Liuyuan Road runs east-west, and the road is not spacious. Opposite the Lingering Garden is a row of shops and public toilets. The newly opened zebra crossing is not at the "cross" intersection or the "T" intersection, and there are no traffic light facilities around it. The zebra crossing changed the traditional black-and-white tone and adopted the blue-and-white main tone, which looked like a classical picture scroll as a whole. On the "picture scroll", there are five groups of striking black characters, and a red "seal" is affixed under each group of characters. Two meters away from both sides of the zebra crossing, there are long flower windows printed on the opposite two lanes, which seem to be used as parking lines.
The traffic police department of Suzhou also organized a zebra crossing traffic safety publicity campaign to let children experience the feeling of this new zebra crossing on the spot and carry out safety warning education. The five groups of calligraphy on the zebra crossing are all made by famous artists, which are extraordinary. The word "benevolence" was written by Shen Zhou, a great calligrapher in Ming Dynasty. Yi Yun was written by Tang Bohu, a romantic genius in the south of the Yangtze River. Comity was written by Zhu Zhishan, a calligrapher in Ming Dynasty. Intellectual Education was written by Wen Zhiming, a great genius in Ming Dynasty. "Xin Yue" was written by Xu Zhenqing, a gifted scholar in the Ming Dynasty. "The seal next to each group of calligraphy is the seal of each calligrapher, engraved as it is."
