Bi Yuan of the Qing Dynasty wrote a poem praising Jinyunchuan: The sun shines brightly on the Qingchuan, and the ripples are dazzling. Try to call the black canopy to take advantage of the mood, and use a pole to prop it up into the water and into the sky.
Just to praise the beautiful scenery
Bi Yuan (1730-1797), also known as Qiufan and Liang Heng, called himself "Lingyan Mountain Man", Aixinjueluo?6?1 In the eighth year when Yin prayed to the Dian Emperor, that is, the eighth year of Yongzheng (173), Bi Yuan was born in Zhenyang (now Taicang, Jiangsu). Bi Yuan is smart and studious, and is good at both civil and military arts. In the eighteenth year of Qianlong's reign (1753), he passed the Shuntian Township Examination and was awarded the title of Secretariat of the Cabinet, where he drafted and concluded imperial edicts. Later, he joined the Military Aircraft Department and served as the military aircraft Zhang Jing, known as the "little military aircraft". He was responsible for writing edicts, recording files, and checking memorials. In March of the 25th year of Qianlong's reign, Bi Yuan took part in the examination. The examination is divided into three sessions, one each on the ninth, twelfth and fifteenth day of the lunar month. The list was released in April, and Bi Yuan was on the list. Whether you can pass the exam or not depends on the imperial examination on April 26. The palace examination lasts for one day, and those who fail to complete the paper will be ranked at the bottom of the top three. Those who are selected in the general examination dare not relax and prepare nervously in order to pass the exam.
On the night of April 25, Bi Yuan and his colleagues Zhu Chongguang and Tong Fengsan were on duty at the military aircraft office. All three of them passed the examination. Tomorrow was the palace examination. Zhu and Tong wanted to go back to their apartment to prepare for the examination. They asked Bi Yuan to be on duty alone and said, "We are good at calligraphy and we hope to win the first prize. If you are not good at calligraphy, don't think too much and do it for us." Do it for me!" The imperial examination did tend to emphasize calligraphy. Seeing what his two colleagues said, Bi Yuan agreed.
That night, Huang Tinggui, the governor of Shaanxi and Gansu Province, forwarded the memorial on the Xinjiang farming matter to the Military Aircraft Department, and Bi Yuan studied it in detail. The next day, the palace examination began, and the location was Danchi in the Hall of Supreme Harmony.
The content of the palace examination is about classics, history, current affairs and policies. The minister who reads the examination papers (i.e. the evaluator) secretly prepares them in the Wenhua Palace one day before the examination, seals them and submits them to the emperor for reading. After it was issued, the ministers who read the papers went to the cabinet together. Under the supervision of the censor, the cabinet documents were transcribed on yellow paper. In the evening, craftsmen were gathered to print in the cabinet hall. The guard commander led the guard school and others to conduct strict inspections outside the cabinet door. The printing was completed early the next morning. The examination papers were delivered to the Hall of Supreme Harmony, and the candidates lined up and knelt to receive them, and then returned to their respective examination tables to answer the questions. Bi Yuan opened the test paper and saw that Shi Wu Ce was the one who asked about the farming issues in Xinjiang. He was confident and accomplished immediately with a stroke of his pen.
On the second and third days, the ministers who read the papers read the papers in the Wenhua Hall. Bi Yuan's regular script is not very good, but his arguments are profound, which attracted much attention from the ministers who read the papers, and he was ranked fourth. On the fourth day, Emperor Qianlong listened to the minister reading the paper in Zhonghe Hall. He admired Bi Yuan's paper very much and promoted him to the first place in the first class. Zhu Zhongguang won the first and second place, that is, the second place. And Tong Fengsan ranked sixth in the second class. When Zhu and Tong learned about Bi Yuan's events that night, they all sighed.
