Zhao Lishu's four-character couplet "Sages are generous." Collected in Jinan Museum, it reads: "Gong Liang and five brothers are in their prime, Ju Detong and Zhao Qianzhi." Seal: "Zhao Ruqing" (white background).
The word "Shang" in the first couplet is full of ink and color, and the pen is strong and powerful. When collecting the pen, the goose tail gently picks it, and the pen tip seems to be hidden and elegant. The word "De" and the bottom lines "Wu" and "Jiao" are solemn and neat, and they all use the method of combining strokes and adding ink to make them more dense and smooth, while the strokes on the side of the three characters are very clear, rough and dense, and there is no feeling of falling off strings.
The lower part of the work is engraved, and the brushwork is steady, dignified and elegant, which is in harmony with the couplet font of the main text, and one official and one guard complement each other. This form of writing the total at the bottom is unique and modern. The author may consider that the number of words in the joint sentence is small, so he puts the sum at the bottom.
works appreciation
This couplet is a classic of Zhao's calligraphy works, with elegant style and bold expression, which fully shows Zhao's height and comprehensive quality in calligraphy art.
The combination pen is bold, Fiona Fang, stable and rock solid. The overall layout of this couplet is dense, unique in posture, broad in posture, strong in weight, but flying and stretching, with alternating strokes. The word method alternated between Wei and Li, with the correct posture of magnolia in the tablet of Xianyuhuang in Han Dynasty. Beautiful and pale, but it folded as soon as it was exposed. It is "tough and bone, elegant and elegant".
