Wang Ping, named Sheng Qiao, is a doctor in Tongcheng, Anhui.

199 1 was admitted to China Academy of Fine Arts, 1995 graduated from China Academy of Fine Arts and worked in an art newspaper sponsored by Zhejiang Daily. In 2002, he was admitted to the Chinese Painting Department of China Academy of Fine Arts to participate in the postgraduate course of landscape specialty; In 2004, he was admitted to China Academy of Fine Arts to study for a doctorate, and graduated with a doctorate in 2008.

He used to be deputy editor-in-chief of Art Newspaper, member of the presidium of Zhejiang Artists Association, vice-chairman of Hangzhou Artists Association, member of the presidium and deputy secretary-general of Zhejiang China Painters Association, distinguished painter of Zhejiang Painting Academy, distinguished painter of Hangzhou Painting Academy, deputy secretary-general of Zhejiang CPPCC Poetry Book Club and distinguished painter of Xiling Painting and Calligraphy Institute.

He is currently a researcher at China National Academy of Painting, director of the Art Information Research Center, director of the China Painting Society, deputy director of the Youth Federation Art Working Committee of the Ministry of Culture, special deputy editor of Memorabilia of Chinese Beauty, part-time master tutor of Yangzhou University Art College, and distinguished professor of Anhui University Art College. Member of China Artists Association and Zhejiang Writers Association. He has published such monographs as Painter's Calligraphy, China's Painting and Calligraphy, Personal Album Ink Making, Boneless Yunshan Collection by Wang Ping, Contemporary Watercolor Art Literature Collection edited by Wang Ping, and China Ink Painting in the Context of Globalization. He has planned or presided over the Invitation Exhibition of Contemporary Young Oil Painters in the Name of the Future (Hangzhou), the International Academic Invitation Exhibition of Ink and Wash (Pujiang), the Invitation Exhibition of Ink and Wash Impressions of Contemporary China Young Painters (Chengdu Painting Academy, Sichuan Academy of Fine Arts), the Peak Ink and Wash-Invitation Exhibition of Contemporary Chinese Painting Masters (Hangzhou) and Spring Rain in the South of the Yangtze River.
