Although Liu Haisheng never studied Fu Shan too much, he grew up in Shaanxi and was naturally influenced by Fu Shan and his predecessors Xu Wenda, Lin Peng, Tian Shuchang, who studied and inherited the essence of Fu Shan calligraphy. Therefore, the style of his calligraphy works has also become the same as that of Mr. Zhu: atmospheric, heroic and uninhibited. To make the work reach this level, we should not only master the skills of pen and ink, but also have the power and consistency. Liu Haisheng has this condition, his personality and his calligraphy are integrated. I don't know whether the bold style of calligraphy cultivates character or whether bold character makes calligraphy. In recent years, with the broadening of vision and the strengthening of academic education, Liu Haisheng's writing is not only bold and vertical, but also the ups and downs of bold and vertical middle lines, and the change of word potential structure is full of contraction, which makes his works not only smooth and rhythmic, but also vivid and solemn. Liu Haisheng's works have been selected for the Xinghua Cup National Seal Carving Exhibition, the first and second national cursive calligraphy exhibitions, and the 85th anniversary of the founding of the Party, and some of his works have won many awards. In recent years, Liu Haisheng has used Weibei, Lishu and Han bamboo slips as brushstrokes, which have existed in ancient and modern times. His unique style of writing is highly respected and praised.
