Liu Gongquan's official career was smooth sailing, and he was favored by Mu Zong, Wenzong and Xuanzong all his life. Because of his outstanding calligraphy, the epitaphs made by all official families in that era would be ridiculed as "unfilial descendants" without the posts written by Liu Gongquan.
Liu Gongquan is not only famous in China, but also widely circulated abroad. Many foreigners have heard of his calligraphy and often send people to Chang 'an to find Liu Gongquan to buy his handwriting.
Liu Gongquan's handwriting and meticulous strokes still use strict methods to make the turning point falter, so the traces of the pen are exposed outside the painting, which makes him feel sharp and nervous.
However, a calligrapher who can really learn Liu Shu to the extreme can achieve the correct trend in the process of edging slightly. If one word is used to describe Liu Gongquan's calligraphy, then only "fresh and healthy" is the most appropriate.
Liu Gongquan's masterpiece is Postscript of Sending Pear Branches, which was written after Wang Xianzhi's Postscript of Sending Pear Branches. This postscript changes the formality of Liu Gongquan's writing on the tablet, which is natural and reflective, without bones and muscles in full bloom, but it is implicit in writing, does not require fairness and unity, but has its own true meaning and is praised as a "miracle" by the world. In the late Tang dynasty, the calligraphy of the Tang dynasty was rigid because it was too advocating statutes. Only Liu Gongquan can imitate the ancients, establish his own family, revive the calligraphy of the Tang Dynasty and make outstanding contributions to it.
