The difference between hook and lift in hard pen calligraphy

There is no difference between hard pen calligraphy and brush calligraphy in essence. The difference between hook and lift is that the hook is generally bent first, and then lifted with a pen, while the lift is generally pulled straight. However, in life and even in many calligraphy works, there is often no strict distinction between the two, and they are often used together. Personally, I think it's better to distinguish it like this.
