Listen to the piano

Author: Northern Song Dynasty? Cai Jing

I called Tongdiao under the cooking stove, suspecting that there was a breeze among the pines.

Looking up at a humble guest is like listening without strings.

Vernacular interpretation: The paulownia, which cooks under the kitchen next door, is a good material for making guqin, and there seems to be the sound of guqin song "Wind Into the Pine" in the pine room. Looking down at the people who secretly listen to the piano, it seems that everyone has the same heart.

Creative background:

With Song Huizong as the center and his "Taoism worship" as the background, Tingqin Picture contains many connotations such as politics, court and religion. The seventh year of Zheng He (1 1 17) was the creative year of Qin Ting's paintings. This year was an important political turning point for Song Huizong and the Northern Song Dynasty.

Introduction:

Tingqin is now in the Palace Museum in Beijing. This painting depicts Panasonic playing the piano and enjoying music. There is a lush pine tree in the middle of the picture. The camphor tree climbs upward, and there are several bamboo poles beside the tree. Panasonic fiddled with the robe, gently gathered it together and twisted it slowly. The other two sat down to listen, one on each side and one on the back, with respectful expressions. In the painting, only turquoise and bamboo stones are used to represent the courtyard environment. Melodious music seems to flow between pine and bamboo, and the composition is simple and balanced. Characters' expressions are meticulous and vivid, which can better reflect their psychological state.
