Go to school with questions.

If you read without doubt, you will not gain knowledge and reading will become meaningless.

-Nishioka Yicheng "High Score Reading Method"

The purpose of reading is nothing more than collecting information, seeking knowledge, acquiring skills and satisfying emotions. The seemingly utilitarian purpose is actually to meet one's own needs.

And how to get the greatest satisfaction in reading must be able to read the contents of the book, understand the meaning expressed by the author, seek the sound with the author, and even communicate with the author.

To achieve this state of deep reading, Nishioka's sincere suggestion is to read with questions, such as why do you want to read this passage? What can you learn from this article?

The way I used to read was to simply collect information and accept all the contents in the book. All the words are just a demonstration, and it's over after reading. I didn't think about why the author wrote such a topic, how to express such a topic, and whether there are other views on such a topic. So I finally feel that I have read a lot of books, but I don't remember anything. It is the so-called "I know a lot of truth, but I still can't live this life well."

All you have to do is always question the content of the article: why is this? Why does the author say so? Be sure to "interview" a book with questions like a reporter.

Ask questions while reading, but don't argue.
