1, Xiamafang
Xiamafang, located in the 26th year of Hongwu, namely 1393, is a landmark building at the entrance to the Ming tombs. This is a stone memorial archway with two pillars towering into the sky. It is 9 meters high and 6 meters wide, and the words "All officials dismount" are engraved on its forehead. It is an exquisite stone carving building in the early Ming Dynasty.
2. Meihua Mountain
Meihua Mountain is located at the southern foot of Zijin Mountain outside Zhongshan Gate in Nanjing. Plum planting in Nanjing began in the Six Dynasties and has a history of 1500 years. Meihuashan Meiyuan was founded in 1929, covering an area of 1533 mu, with more than 400 plum trees and nearly 400 varieties. Known as "the best Meishan in the world" and "the best Meishan in China".
3. Ming Dongling
Ming Dongling is located at the south foot of Nanjing Zijin Mountain, east of Ming Mausoleum. Its overall layout is similar to that of the Ming Tombs, but on a smaller scale. It is composed of mausoleum wall, tomb door, main entrance of xiangtang, xiangtang, Baoding and other architectural elements. The main buildings are distributed along a north-south axis, and there are many sites such as the main entrance foundation, drainage facilities, and entrance platform foundation.
4. Xiazi Lake
Xiazi Lake, located in the northeast of Ming Tombs, is an artificial water storage lake hidden in deep mountains and forests, named after its connection with Xiazi Cave. Built in the mid-1930s, it was donated by patriotic overseas Chinese Hu Wenhu, covering an area of about 50,000 square meters, and used to collect Zhongshan spring water.
5. Yan Zhenqing Forest of Steles
Yan Zhenqing Forest of Steles is located at the southern foot of Nanjing Zijin Mountain. It was jointly built by Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum, Yan Zhenqing Painting Academy and China Calligraphy Research Association in Tokyo. It covers an area of 2,500 square meters and has nearly 100 monuments, some of which were written by famous calligraphers such as Lin Sanzhi and Hu Xiaoshi, and some were created by famous Japanese calligraphers.
