The stele of General Guangwu was inscribed in the pre-Qin Dynasty.
The "General Guangwu Stele" is a stele engraved in the fourth year of Jianyuan (368) of the former Qin Dynasty. The "Stele of Production in the Fourth Year of Qin Jianyuan" and the "Stele of Zhang's Production", etc., do not have the name of the author. They are official calligraphy works and are now in the Xi'an Forest of Steles Museum.
The "Guangwu General Stele" is a boundary stele with a height of 1.83 meters and a width of 0.67 meters. On the forehead of the stele are the words "Li Boundary Mountain Stone Temple". The content of the stele is the division of Weibei territory and tribes in the pre-Qin period. The distribution of the monument, the establishment of official positions, the number of officials and people ruled by the owner of the stele, etc. The lines of calligraphy are ancient, the writing is free, eclectic, simple and naive, and full of natural interest. It inherits the upright atmosphere of the Han Dynasty and the vividness of the Northern Wei Dynasty.
The "Stele of General Guangwu" was engraved in the fourth year of Jianyuan of the former Qin Dynasty (368 years, the third year of Taihe in the Eastern Jin Dynasty). Judging from the lines in the fourteenth line of the stele Yang, "From Shishui in the west to Qi Dingyang in the east, seven hundred from north to south, two hundred from east to west, etc., this stele may have been erected by General Guangwu after he presided over the "delimitation".
Structurally, this stele belongs to the official script, but it does not have the traditional official script appearance. The character shape boldly breaks through the traditional official script, which is mainly flat, with silkworm head and wild goose tail. There are some flat and square shapes, such as the character "gu" and the character "bu". The strokes used for "口" in the middle are long-shaped combinations of the characters "Guang", "Ling", "Qin", "Dang", "Buy" and "Hei", and the structure is tight and comfortable. , some are narrow and some are vertical, some are large and some are small.
Evaluation of the work:
Modern calligrapher Kang Youwei: The recently unearthed Beibei stele is regarded as the most elegant in "Guanzhong Jinshi Zhi". It is not called "General Guangwu", but it is the great-grandson of General Guangwu. However, the monument is dated to the fourth year of the Jianyuan period of Fu Qin Dynasty and only 12 years after he left Wang Youjun's "Lanting". "It has a long history. It is so majestic that it should be compared with the "Good King Stele".
This extension has the forehead and the shadow of the stele, which is particularly perfect. I plan to name this stele "The Stele produced in the fourth year of Qin Jianyuan". This stele is also the official title of Guanzhong Kaili.
