The five qualities of life: virtue, understanding, resilience, blood, and memory
The first is virtue.
Virtue can also be called virtue. But I think using virtue may be more closely connected with the following words.
Why put virtue first? There is an old saying, a sentence in "Cai Gen Tan", which is called "cultivation of one's morality and morality is the foundation of one's career". The ancients attached great importance to cultivating one's moral character and regarded it as the foundation of career. So this career is not what we call career now, but rather doing things and doing business. Sima Guang once used this standard to judge people: a saint is one who has both ability and political integrity; a gentleman is one who has more virtue; a mediocre person who has neither ability nor virtue; a villain who has more ability than virtue. He also lamented: If one is not a saint and a gentleman in passing on the throne, he would rather live with mediocrity than with villains. It can be seen that no matter how you behave or do things, morality comes first. I don’t need to elaborate on this. This is virtue, the most important thing in life.
The second is understanding.
There is an old saying in China: The master leads the way, and cultivation lies in the individual. Before the age of 18, much of our knowledge is literal, but the meaning behind the literal words may not be understood until we are eighteen and enter society. There is a saying in calligraphy: The power penetrates the back of the paper, which talks about the skill of the calligrapher. Our life experience will tell us that in addition to understanding the literal meaning, the meaning behind the words may be more meaningful. Because once we enter society, the social rules we accept include not only literal rules, but also substantive rules. These are things that we may not be able to learn in middle school or even college. Our teachers cannot explain them, our parents cannot explain them, and others cannot explain them. We must understand them on our own. This understanding is strong and weak. After we truly become adults and enter society, it will play a vital role in determining our life coordinates and establishing and grasping the values ??of life. The ability to understand life is the second nature, understanding.
The third one is resilience.
There are many living beings in the world, and everyone is chasing their dreams. Just now I heard our classmates talking about how they had dreams when they were seven years old. When they were eight years old, they were already trying to grasp and realize their dreams. When they were seventeen years old, they already began to feel that the worries of inaction will disturb you like the drizzle. own heart. But whether everyone's dream can finally be realized depends on resilience. (Inspirational movie sun) Because the operation of society is not as seamless as the dream track set by each of us. There are always bumps and bumps, there are always ups and downs. In the face of wind and rain, when the trajectory of development is inconsistent with our own ideals, or even conflicts, should we be pessimistic, complain, disappointed, give up, or should we persevere and persevere? Without resilience, we cannot reach our ideal destination. Without willfulness, we may miss success at the last moment. And those who can persevere have mastered the magic weapon to win in the world: wait while being patient, and forge ahead while waiting. Remember, friends, the third gender, resilience.
The fourth one is bloody.
The fourth gender is also very important, especially when you reach the age of forty, or a little older, you can truly realize the importance of these two words, that is, blood nature.
Being strong-blooded and flamboyant is not a problem when you are young. However, as I just said, the world does not develop according to what we think and what we want. . There are so many hardships, so many stumblings, so many frictions and disputes, and so many things that go against our wishes. When we are no longer young, or even after our youth has passed away, can we continue to maintain our own persistent personality? , does it have the square spirit that we have been pursuing for our ideals? Especially at a certain critical moment, when we are indecisive, we look forward and backward, we are hesitant, we are helpless, or our so-called honor and disgrace are no longer alarmed, at that time, maybe it really is about success - —You missed the dream you had when you were seven years old. You can’t live without blood, friends.
The fifth is memory.
If the first four properties are Tao - Tao, it is very important. Tao is the philosophy of our life and the most fundamental guiding principle for us to understand the world, analyze the world, grasp problems and solve problems - then The next nature is the art, and the art cannot be less.
What is this nature? It's memory. Memory is also very important. We must not underestimate memory.
Psychologically speaking, an action needs to be repeated seven times before it can be remembered. Our brain cells are remembered bit by bit in this way. Although we have less than 10% of them developed now, it is enough for us to become a qualified person who can settle down and live in society. However, if we have more knowledge in our brain cells, we will not only have more knowledge, but also more lessons. Of course, it is best for this lesson to be the lesson of our predecessors, rather than using our own youth, Use our lives or other lessons in exchange, so that we can really get twice the result with half the effort. Being good at finding lessons from historical experience, being good at finding experience from other people's lessons, and exercising and improving one's memory is a shortcut to avoid detours.
