Xinchengpu is the largest township in Zhengding County, with nearly 2,000 households, most of which are Yan. According to legend, Xincheng Store has been disrespectful to Guan Gong since ancient times.
Guan Gong in history, named Yu Yunchang, was a general of Shu Han during the Three Kingdoms period. He has always been deified, becoming the embodiment of "loyalty" in people's minds and being honored as "Guan Di". He followed Liu Bei and beheaded Yan Liang and Wen Chou in Bai Mapo. Yan Liang's ancestral home is Xincheng Shop. It is said that the Yan family in the village are all their descendants and have enemies with them. It is reasonable not to respect Guan Gong.
It is also said that Yan Liang was beheaded by Guan Yu and the ribbon on Yan Liang's hat was cut off. At that time, in order to remember this hatred, Yan Liang's descendants began to leave no long streamers on their filial hats. This tradition continues to this day. The old Yan family in the village died, and there was no ribbon on the dutiful son's head.
After the Qing army entered the customs, in order to consolidate its dominant position. Guan Yu was carried out and ordered to build Guandi temples all over the country. Once, there were many Guandi temples from the inside and outside of the Great Wall to the north and south of the river. However, at the risk of being beheaded, the new store owner never built a temple for Guan Yu. Xinchengpu is a big local market town. Folk artists sell New Year pictures during the Spring Festival, and those who have the image of "Guan Laoye" are not allowed to sell here. People surnamed Yan in the new town shop are not allowed to marry people surnamed Liu ... but the truth of these rumors has not been verified.
It always rains more or less in this area every year around May 13th of the lunar calendar. People in the new shop said that God was crying for Yan Liang's death.
The first village annals in Zhengding County-the new town Pucun annals-the revised edition of the ancient capital Xingang came out.
