Eccentric stroke is different from central stroke. The strokes on the front of the pen are smooth and even, and the ventral side of the pen is dry and uneven. This brush can use both light and hair. Because of its imperfection, teaching has always been regarded as a sick pen by calligraphers. As for calligraphers' writing lines and cursive scripts, it is another matter that they are dry, wet and even occasionally deviated because of the acceleration of writing speed or in order to strengthen the rhythm of works. The first thing beginners should master is the skill of the center to carry the pen.
There are roughly three situations in which a brush runs on paper. Different writing styles have different requirements for using a pen. Pure center for seal script; Official script and regular script are mainly centered, supplemented by flanks; Running script and cursive script are mainly centered and flanked, and occasionally oblique. Because the brush strokes are soft, sometimes the brush strokes are inclined, and the brush strokes gradually straighten and adjust to the center during the operation. The key to writing is to use the center, adjust the strokes and keep the center writing. This is the brushwork.
