Point occupies a very important position in brushwork and plays the role of finishing touch. If you lose a little bit, it will be like a glimpse, which will inevitably destroy the structural beauty of the font. The other seven methods, the pen starts from the point of hair, and it is easy to make mistakes when lost. That's all that matters. Make a point in lower case, and most of it is exposed, which is the characteristic of using a pen in lower case.
2. Horizontal painting
Horizontal painting is also called "music". The so-called "le" means that it is getting tighter and tighter, and it should be reversed when writing. When writing a long picture, you should take care of it deliberately and push against the trend. When you write a long painting, you should lay it flat on the uneven place, so that its painting will arch, just like capsizing. Don't be flat on the top and flat on the bottom, then the disadvantages of carving will appear. Liu Zongyuan said in Ode to Eight Laws.
3. Vertical painting
This is the beauty of a curve full of elasticity and strength, either backward or backward, or backward in the middle, or partially straight, so Liu Zongyuan said in the Eight Laws: "If you push too hard, you will fail." That's what it means.
Step 4 squat for a long time
The "skimming" painting emphasizes "lifting while turning" and "sending the pen to the end" in the brush. In this kind of hard pen, there is naturally no need to "turn", but it is necessary to try and practice the speed and rhythm of gradually "lifting" the pen after starting and stroking. Secondly, it is necessary to "send the pen to the end", that is, to send the strokes steadily and properly, and to have someone control the pen to complete the strokes, and never "throw" them out.
5. Short skimming
The ancients called it pecking. Woodpecker is like a pecking bird, sharp and fast, which means it is quick, agile and lively when using a pen. Chen Yi once said in Hanlin Yaoze that nodding your head and leaving your tail slightly to the left is like pecking something with a bird's beak.
