Pizhou belongs to Xuzhou City, Jiangsu Province, and was called Piguo, Pizhou and East Xuzhou in ancient times. It is located at the junction of Sulu and Shandong, bordering xinyi city in the east, tongshan district and jiawang district in Xuzhou in the west, Suining County in the south and Lanling County in the north. It is an important node city along the East Longhai and Grand Canal. It is a famous hometown of plate, garlic, ginkgo, jade carving, calligraphy and folk art in China. Pizhou has a long history, with the Dadunzi cultural site 6000 years ago, which is one of the earliest origins of Jiangsu civilization. Since ancient times, it has been known as "Qilu in the north and Jianghuai in the south", with Lianyungang, the bridgehead of the Eurasian Continental Bridge, in the east and Xuzhou, a famous historical and cultural city in the west. Longhai Railway runs through east and west, and the Grand Canal runs through north and south. It is an important hub city of the national "Belt and Road" and Jiangsu's "Four Sides Development" strategy.
