How did Xue surname come from?

1. Xue's surname comes from Gui's surname. Yu Shun's descendant Meng Changjun (Tian Wen) took Fengyi as his surname. His ancestor was Xizhong, the twelfth grandson of Yuyang, the son of the Yellow Emperor, and later generations took the country name as their surname.

2. Originated from Ren Shi, it came from the fief of Yuyang, the youngest son of the Yellow Emperor, when Zhuan Xu was emperor, which belonged to Juyi.
