The author of Saint Amethyst is Wang Yinglin.

Wang Yinglin (A.D. 1223 ~ 1296) was born in Yinxian County, Qingyuan (now Yinzhou District, Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province). A famous scholar, educator and politician in the Southern Song Dynasty. He is knowledgeable, versatile, studied under Zhu, dabbled in hundreds of classics, history, astronomy and geography, was familiar with systematic anecdotes and was good at textual research.
