Legend has it that stalagmites were found in the sand of Shitouwan, Meng'en Bridge, Xinchang, and they were so deep that they were bottomless, so Xinchang town was also known as "stalagmite lane" in the past. The so-called "Ten Scenes of Stalagmites" refer to "Ten Scenes of Stalagmites" - the Ten Scenes of Xinchang Ancient Town. These ten sceneries include libraries, temples, fishing boat ponds, ancient bridges, etc. Due to the long history, they have undergone several changes. Some have been renovated and restored according to their original appearance, some have only their names but not their appearance, and some are under planning and reconstruction.
