Running script is a kind of calligraphy, which is divided into running script and running script. It is developed and originated on the basis of regular script, and it is a font between regular script and cursive script, which is produced to make up for the slow writing speed of regular script and the illegibility of cursive script. "Go" means "go", so it is not as scribbled as cursive script, nor as straight as regular script.
Whether it is cursive or cursive in essence. Those with more patterns than grass patterns are called "running patterns", and those with more grass patterns are called "running grass". Running script is both practical and artistic, and regular script is a literal symbol, which is practical and skillful; Comparatively speaking, cursive script is highly artistic, but its practicality is relatively insufficient.

Feng Chengsu's Transcript of Preface to Lanting;
Running scripts are generally used as drafts or letters, but some famous calligraphers' running scripts are also treasured. The most famous is Wang Xizhi's Preface to the Lanting Pavilion, which was originally a draft. In the Tang Dynasty, he was loved by Emperor Taizong and ordered his men to copy many copies. The testamentary edict was originally buried with him. The most famous is Feng Chengsu, the minister of Emperor Taizong, who has a small seal of "Dragon" in front, also known as "Dragon Book".
This book is considered to be the closest to the original work of Preface to Lanting, mainly because Feng's description is extremely detailed and accurate. He drew the outline of each word by double hook method, and then filled it in with ink. Even the finest strokes are drawn as they are, so they are almost exactly the same as the original, which has become the best model for calligraphers of all ages to learn the Preface to Lanting. This book is now in the Palace Museum in China.
