Fun places in Fuzhou.
1. Fuzhou Gushan Scenic Area
Gushan Scenic Area is located in the southeastern suburbs of Fuzhou City, on the north bank of the Minjiang River. The main peak is nearly 1,000 meters above sea level and is one of the "Top Ten" scenic spots in Fujian Province. Gushan is evergreen all year round, with beautiful rocks and secluded valleys, green pines and strange flowing rivers, and places of interest and historic sites are scattered throughout the mountain.
Yongquan Temple, which was built in the second year of Kaiping in the Later Liang Dynasty during the Five Dynasties, is known as "the best in Mount Fujian". The Huilong Pavilion, Lingyuan Cave Drinking Rock, Longtou Spring, Shimen and other scenic spots in the southeast of the temple are elegant and simple. In the west of the temple, there are eighteen sceneries such as Ge Xianju, Peach Forest, Eight Immortals Rock and Bodhidharma Cave. The rock ravine is quiet and green, and the green pines and mulberry trees are just like dreaming in a fairyland.
Gushan cliff carvings can be seen everywhere. The handwritings of Song Dynasty Cai Xiang, Li Gang, Zhu Xi and modern poet Guo Moruo are preserved. It is a rare calligraphy art gallery in China.
"The stone drum is born to hold the center of Fujian, and the spiritual springs from the earth moisten the sea surface." The various charms of the famous Shigu Mountain will surely make you forget to leave.
